  1. Bump. will have some spare radio gear soon if anyone wants it rtr
  2. Not to bothered about those as I have an esc here and motors aren't that expensive. But that's been offered for £250. I'm not sure how much all those parts add up to but a new RTR bomber can be had for £350 and the kit is £300 so undecided on what's best ?
  3. After a bit of research I think I'm just going to do erevo conversion... Makes sense to me as although I'm about 10 years behind on converting a revo loads of old stuff online says it still smashes gears and shafts in the 3.3 transmission with metal gears. Chassis is easy to find, transmission can be ordered from USA as one full price for $80ish going to add up the cost of the individual prices and work out how much it is to build my own
  4. The pinion broke after about 5M on the flat... Think it was just weak as the other one I fitted has been fine
  5. So I bought a revo 3.3 roller with a very homemade looking motor mount and battery tray for £100, fitted 17mm hexes and wheels, hobbywing ESC and "castle" 2650kv motor ... Surprisingly actually works well but 10 minutes of running I shattered a pinion went home and swapped it and it ran amazing on the flat but as soon as it landed a jump it trashed a gear in the transmission... I was thinking about selling it but it owes me about £200 all in and seems like a good project to keep me busy with. So the question is do I buy a Robinson racing metal gear set for the transmission? Or do I buy an erevo chassis and transmission? I believe I need the centre driveshafts as well to make that work but seems like the better option as will make use of better weight distribution for batteries etc
  6. Been offered a bomber with a bunch of hop ups can anyone advise if they are actually decent parts? "ESC has been upgraded with a Hobywing 1060 esc 21 turn titan 550 motor Boom Racing servo mount Boom Racing motor mount Boom Racing alloy trailing arms SSD heavy duty alloy knuckles Vanquish locker spools Brass tubes in the front axle Stainless steel tubes in the rear axle Metal drive shafts Axial sway bar kit on the rear axle " But also might be selling the revo so tempted to get yeti XL as an all-rounder
  7. Ok so I'm going to be honest there are reasons it's so cheap... It's a revo 3.3 with custom motor mount and battery tray. The transmission has stripped a gear when landing a jump... Easy enough to replace which I will do myself if it doesn't sell but want to buy myself a yeti so need money. Has been converted to 17mm hex, comes with the steering servo,s transmission is locked into 2nd as needed when going brushless. Shell is a cracked from the wheelies and is the original nitro shell with holes. £110ono
  8. I'm amazed a plastic spur gear didn't give way before that happened.
  9. I could still be tempted if you've changed your mind about posting it...
  10. Drove it for the first time... Pinion came loose to tightened it up and then this happened on the next run... Swapped to another pinion and it was amazing wheelies like mad and guessing top speed of 40mph+ the tried a jump and something in the transmission broke....
  11. Pretty close to pulling the trigger on a yeti kit. Got a 130a ESC and 3900kv motor here from my scte. What motors are people using? Thinking a bit lower kv might be more suited? (Plan to use 3s) Any upgrades or diff/shock oils etc I should order with the kit and just fit from the start?
  12. Think I'm pretty close to ordering a yeti 1/10 kit now... Was tempted by one of the XLs but it's sold now and think the 1/10 makes more sense seeing as so have a ESC/motor and servo just sat here and probably have batteries to fit as well.
  13. For some stupid reason the Losi not needing parts makes me want the yeti more... I know what I'm like and I'll want to replace things with hop-ups when/if they break (or just see something shiny...) And the Losi looks much more limited parts wise. Same can be said for the yeti over the bomber yeti had loooads of parts available. What sort of motor would people recommend for the yeti? I have a 3900kv that can be run 2s or 3s with my ESC if I go under 3000kv can even do 4s but I can't imagine that's needed. Guessing 2200ish would be good?
  14. Got some XT90s and pinions so my revo is finally ready to be used!
  15. Stripped it down and it was all put together properly with fresh grease etc... The guy had just forgot both of the pins on the main shaft so the gears were just spinning around it so no wonder it wasn't working ?
  16. Finally finished my revo brushless conversion... But it doesn't work...? Bought it as a roller and was told the transmission was locked in 2nd but it doesn't have any drive at all, motor spins the spur slipper is tight but seems like something is wrong in the transmission because nothing happens....
  17. Spent a bit of time researching (watching YouTube videos mainly ha ) and I think the yeti XL is just too big for what I want and would make the revo pointless... So I think it's now down to yeti, bomber or rock Rey. I have a 130a ESC and 4100kv motor that I took out of my scte spare along with a a servo. I think the Motor needs to be swapped for a lower kv but seems like kit is the way to go rather than RTR The Losi seems nice but has an open centre diff so probably not as good at crawler type stuff and seems a bit of a pain to work on... But does look pretty tough. Decisions, decisions....
  18. Thanks for the input will take a look at the Losi as well
  19. The few they were for sale has promted my interest TBH! Doing a bit of research I think the wraith is definatley too much of a crawler but I don't know if the yeti is too much the other way and will overlap too much with the revo... Is the bomber sort of the in-between the two? I'm not limiting myself to axial either just the models I have noticed
  20. Need a bit of help with suggestions of what to buy. I've had most things over the years 1/18, 1/10, 1/8, 1/5... Nitro, petrol brushless etc currently have a revo that converted to brushless but not actually running yet ... A mini 8ight T and had a Losi TEN-SCTE I just sold. In the past I've always preferred monster trucks really as they are generally the ones I've missed having and brushless is the only way for me now. Today I was out with my kids and Messing with the wheelie/crawler king I bought them it's got a 35t motor so is pretty slow... But it's just so much fun can try and drive it slowly up steep stuff but it's also quite fun for (slow) jumps and stuff as well... The revo will be fun for big jumps and stuff on 4s/6s so looking for something different to go with it... That I can use when the kids are driving their cars. Don't think I want a 100% crawler as sometimes I'll just be in a big open playing field etc I'm thinking maybe something like a yeti might be good? Fast enough for usual bashing but capable of some light crawling/lower speed stuff? Or would a wraith be better? Or just boring unless it has cool obsticales any other suggestions? That might fit what I want... Cheers
  21. Sold as a roller PM if you want anything else from it...
  22. That would probably be ideal if it was in stock... Got a revo I've converted to brushless with a 2650kv motor... 4s seems like it will work but untested at the moment
