  1. Hi, I've not used my Maverick Strada for about a year now and my attentions are elsewhere. Time to move it on I think. I'm honestly not sure what to ask for it. I appreciate the car itself doesn't have much value but the parts and accessories may. What do you think would be a reasonable price to ask for the following: Maverick Strada Evo XB EZrun 60a-SL ESC EZrun 9t 4300kv motor 2x S2 5000ma turnigy lipo Futaba T3PRKA radio iMax B6 charger LP-Guard bag Upgraded oil shocks front and rear Runs like a dream, quick enough for me and I think is a decent package. What are your thoughts on value either for components or as a package? Pics here: https://imgur.com/a/KAbBNCv Cheers
  2. This is the first time the box has been opened!
  3. XFX Radeon HD5450 graphics card 512mb /1Gb (with hypermemory) Has HDMI, VGA and display port outputs so can support 3 screen output (including eyefinity). This was a duplicate order that I never got round to returning so is new and unopened.
  4. Hi, I'm selling old kit as I don't need to have so many spares lying around. Initially I have a HPI Flux Reload v2 ESC. This is the waterproof one. Initially I had my doubts that it worked after being submerged but MSUK tested it and found it to be in perfect order, and I eventually traced my issues down to the radio gear. This has been fitted with a Deans connector. Looking for
  5. Is the raid card hosting the drive your installation is on, or is Windows (assuming that's what you are using) on a different drive not going via the RAID card? If it is the latter, have you installed the raid card in Windows?
  6. Sorry, should have been more specific! Can I see the tread please?
  7. Thanks. Any chance of a better pic of the white set of 4?
  8. Made me chuckle (doesn't take much) when thinking about the title of this thread...
  9. There's a difference between stupid and downright antisocial. In order to look good I'll adopt the desired response - LOL! Better? and what's wrong with being a Guardian reader?
  10. So not only did you damage a car and run off, your mum did too? Nice. I hope you don't live near me.
  11. Not bad for a first car, but those MPG estimates are way off real life figures for the 1.7 lump. If you do think you're getting 70mpg then you may well be working that out wrong. Parkers has it listed as 61MPG and is known for being wildly optimistic. Enjoy it for what it is, and that's not something more frugal than the latest crop of lentil-mobiles.
  12. Rode my ZZR1100 back from the tuning centre where they have sorted out the poor response at low speed and given me a few more ponies to play with!
  13. Noob error! Norco was spot on, there was a grub screw. All sorted now. Move along now, nothing to see here
  14. I've recently had a spate of bending driveshafts so bought a set of UJ dogbones. I fitted them today but in testing realised that the pins at the joint are just flying out. Thankfully it first happened on the front one and it prevented the wheel from spinning drawing my attention to it. Had I just gone out bashing I reckon it would have flown out. Looking at the others they all move freely and are sliding out as the wheel turns. This can't be right? There is no thread, just a receiver hole and a pin. Is it worth loctiting them, or are they faulty. They are branded HSP but were bought off ebay from Hong Kong. The item on ebay is here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/106015-06047-Alum-Universal-Dogbone-Shaft-2P-HSP-1-10th-4WD-R-C-Upgrade-Parts?item=320812535558&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7528226721393073976#ht_1360wt_1163

  16. I believe I may have seen him last year when I went to a few btcc meetings.
  17. Use armoured cable to run power in from the house. You need to dig a trench so it is under the surface, then a junction box and spurs within the shed. If you are not sure then get an electrician to do it (in fact I think it's a legal requirement now). Or, run an extension lead in while you are in the shed and then remove it when you're done. I used insulation roll which was effectively foam backed bubble wrap which was stapled to the walls. Then I used polystyrene panels which I placed between the studs of the shed. I then hardboarded the interior of the shed. Once that was done I fitted tube heaters and a thermostat. Then last winter I realised that even all that wasn't enough and moved into the garage instead!
