  1. Got to agree with the above having burned 20 litres of the rtr stuff, the smoke trains were hilarious, 5.9cc's worth of engine belching out enough smoke to cover a field in smog . I think it's quite a good fuel for people who have only just gotten into nitro since it's very hard to kill an engine when burning the stuff with 15% oil content Now run vp fuel well priced and blue what more can you ask for? Thanks
  2. Think that fuel tank is from a mugen mbx5t, I used to use on with a cen fun factor radio box in a mid-tanked savage. No longer though as the mugen tank is 125cc, bit to small in my opinion especially when it's being drained my an lrp zr.32 . 5-8 mins per tank was annoying, 250cc goes for 16 ish mins with an lrp. Btw rc butcher go for the z.28r spec 3 it's the best lrp suited to the revo since it has about 4k revs over the .30 and .32. Thanks
  3. Yeah exactly, still can't believe I got a like new picco .26 for
  4. I've been running one for a few years seems strong enough but fair enough. The revo tank is much easier to re-full to be fair so the advantage of the 90cc great capacity is kind of negated. Thanks
  5. Take a look at the thunder tiger eb4 brushless it's al little over at
  6. You can still get the you know give rob at Innovative RC and email he sells them. Thanks
  7. Is that with the ofna one 7 250cc fuel tank installed? I've got a picco coming to replace the dynamite .19 I used to use. Might take the revo out but it depends if I pass my test on Tuesday. Thanks
  8. Indeed, which is why quite a few people swap to a new rod after the break-in ''gallon''.
  9. I would never ever swap a savage xl for that! Yuck. Thanks
  10. Wrong pitch too, need a mod 1 pinion 0.8 Thanks
  11. No, and I didn't replace it after the one gallon mark either, but only time will tell how they fair after say more than 3 gallons etc. Thanks
  12. Thanks for the reply I found one ebay from the states, I'm thinking of getting but but it would mean losing the 2nd tank I think. Probably won't get to take mine out for another week as I have a further maths exam on monday and revision needs to be done! Thanks http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360852093862?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  13. Hi did you get 47 with the optional tuned pipe? What fuel were you running? Thanks
  14. Yeah I'd agree with you on that, looks like a flimsy savage which costs more than a real savage! Well have to see what the retail is I'd say it's going to be about
  15. Ideally it would be better if the engine was loosened up before starting but there is always a compromise to make.... Engine heaters need energy and battery's are heavy and I'd rather not have to take the house with me just in order to go for a bash besides once the engines warn I will typically run more than 1 litre through it before I get fed-up typically an engine will last me 6-8 gallons (good brand engine that is) and I normally re-build them aswell after the piston/sleve has worn out so really the saving for me using a heat gun really isn't there. ^^ yeah they are aren't they they do make massive torque when broken in though, leagues ahead of the axial based k series k5.9 which I have in my lst xxl very good engines.
  16. Yeah lol I know I've had 2 force .36's from new my arm still hasn't recovered , When I get a new high compression engine's I normally put a roto-start backplate on them and use a drill to start it start much easier. I have to say though I got a new zr.30 to replace the old one in my savage xl and it's not got nearly as much pinch as the come I'm taking just shows that no 2 engine are the same. Thanks
  17. Sorry if you are insinuation (Which It's obvious you are) that I'm trying to be better than please read my original point where I simply pointed out that you don't have to heat a engine and the loosening the glow plug will allow you to start a new engine with a lot of pinch. Just because an engines new does not mean that you need to heat it up before starting it. Thanks
  18. Was going to say that price of these is astronomical, I'd sooner buy a new savage xl for the extra cash.
  19. I didn't blame you ''no wonder so many people go to electric if it's seen that you ''have to heat'' the engine before use''. My point is, is that heating a nitro engine for a basher and frankly some racers is not worth the hassle remember not all racers own a moded Novarossi bonito. Back when I used to go to go to races at Torquay rc car club quite a few racers didn't use a heater granted that was 4 years ago. Thanks
  20. Where's the nitro version??!!! This does look like a bit of a savage rip off better be cheap.
  21. Mate I'm well aware of that where did I say that I though using a heater did not extend the life, however it's a trade off between hastle and that extension I've been running nitro for 8 years, ok there are many who have done so for much longer and I did for a while use a heater and decided I couldn't be bothered with it. Next time why don't you try reading posts before you shout your mouth off. Thanks BTW it's no wonder so many people go to electric if it's seen that you ''have to heat'' the engine before use.
  22. Nitro is made from methanol nitro methanol and oil The % mrthanol = 100 - oil - nitro methanol Simple really. Thanks
  23. No mate, nitro engine easy to start he'd probably flooded it. Who wants to take a heater out then their bashing the answer is no one! Racers use them because it means that they don't have to keep the engine running for 5 mins before the race in-order to get up to speed
