  1. Just remember they can be damaged on a big roll on rocky ground easily. Keep an eye on the classifieds here and on baja forum uk as that is where i have seen the most, not too many on ebay most of the time. oh and ddm have quite a lot and some side pipes on sale.
  2. fffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-- just as i spend all my money
  3. http://www.amazon.com/Wedico-Caterpillar-966G-II-manufactured/dp/B007XHK1KM jeez they're expensive , but a lot of work and detail goes into them i suppose.
  4. there are loads of videos on youtube explaining how to do it
  5. It was alright, the end was the best part, but iirc Beijing's was better.
  6. Ok, yeah you will need a new servo, and you will get the hang of it all pretty quick
  7. Pretty much all servos look like this http://www.southwatercycles.com/smsimg/213/46389-59046-list--213.jpg You arent replacing the receiver (what you linked) you are changing one of the servos (picture i linked) Just to make sure you took the leads that went into the reciever and switched them around, so now when you press the throttle it controls the steering, and the wheel on the transmitter controls the throttle?
  8. It seems so then, for a replacement servo you could get this http://www.modelsport.co.uk/alturn-usa-high-performance-race-servo-high-speed-/rc-car-products/359785 or a 12kg/15kg servo from ebay but there are a lot of bad copys going about so be careful if you buy from ebay.
  9. it has been done before, lots of vids on youtube, first i would choose which cars parts you are going to use, (the parts you cant make yourself) and what type of vehicle it's going to be, do you want a bodyshell, 4wd or 2wd, chassis layout will be important, chassis material, how advanced you want it to be etc... Just plan it out carefully before you start or you will have problems.
  10. your servo could be burnt out, try and switch the servo leads in the receiver and try again, if the throttle servo, now in the steering slot in the receiver doesnt work, it is the servo that is at fault. Also do you know what model of radio gear you have?
  11. Sharpen them and they will come in handy for balloon popping
  12. He sounded like a good member and top man, I remember his review on a baja and that helped me a lot making my decisions. Only wish I could've known him . Rest In peace.
  13. It says it should fit a RS4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HPI-5x8mm-Clutch-Needle-Bearing-/350582028021?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51a05136f5#ht_2887wt_1037
  14. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?static=msuk_comps_2012.php Congratulations Ian Dixon!
  15. Failed again with the pullstart time for a new one i think.
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Associated-LRP-Z-28R-Spec-3-Engine-w-Pull-Start-LRP32802-NIB-/390404590690?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae5ed4c62#ht_1129wt_1762 i have heard these are really good. still at a reasonable price too.
  17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Buggy-rims-tyres-wheels-Seben-BRF1-1-8-Pimp-Style-/400126145691?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item5d2960749b#ht_6246wt_1270 what do you think is cool?
  18. a .21 will have more top speed, a .28 will have more torque. I would go for the .21, you will have better fuel economy and be eligible for races aswell. A good .21 would be the best for either, a argus a52 or b52 are good i have heard and so are the alpha a852 and a872.
  19. The virus 3.0 is new, so not many have got it yet, and the hyper's speed all depends on the engine (.21 or .28) and what you define as "speed". Which hyper 7 are you talking about?
  20. a 5.9 would probably fit, just a bit of engine mount moving, but I wouldn't bother. A .36 in a 1/8 buggy is a bit of a waste, a .21 would be better for it unless you want torque, a .21 would have better fuel conomy and top speed.
  21. just remember which way the wires go into the receiver, I sat for ages trying to figure it out on mine
