  1. Yea some .15 or .18 engines should fit, the mounts can move a bit. i have a new.15 spare engine here if you interested too. its off a thunder tiger but would probably work. i have seen mentioned of .15s being used in replacements for these .18s
  2. Schumacher rascal 2 for sale, few upgrades over the 1st gen, has a .18 engine, running well not bad to start cold and starts 1st or second pull when warmed up. Only issues are that its misisng a body post (£2 for 4)and the remote is missing the battery cover, and there are two small cracks on window part of shell on engine side. Everything else is good, hardly used as owner gave up on hobby soon after purchase. Comes with the original schumacher digital tansmitter (with the screen protector still on even) and its box. Can send a video of it running if required via facebook or email. Collection preferred but may post, probably cost a tenner via courier. Any questions would prefer text on 07740983924 or email. £90
  3. I definitely wouldn't risk it, it will be out of balance and probably tear itself apart with blades missing, and even if you stuck them on they would be hard to get stuck on right and even araldite might not be strong enough and they could just come of again.

  5. there's the motor http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90mm-Duct-Fan-Unit-with-2000KV-motor-RC-Jet-EDF-thrust-2800g-/320995939361?pt=US_Character_Radio_Control_Toys&hash=item4abcd95421
  6. try posting here, but there really aren't many from northern ireland on this forum unfortunately
  7. If the baja gets really dirty, i would take the engine and electrics out and just powerhose it, if i just cant be bothered to take it apart i would clear the essential places (around crankcase, driveshaft, steering etc..) i dont feel the need to have the bumper spotless and body posts sparkling every time i take it out
  8. i would get this if it was me http://www.innovative-rc.com/innovativerc-baja-under-chassis-brace-silver-p-478.html cheaper and from well known brand
  9. I also thought Lee65 was a good seller? but that losi sounds pretty rough and if it wasnt described in the ad i would not be happy. anyway i would get a RPM rear bumper mount for the 5sc as it allows the use of more pipes and is a skid plate built in. Also i found the rear tires on the 5sc pretty crap for anything but dirt and gravel so if you run on grass i would get some new tyres. servo packed in pretty soon after i bought it as did the chassis so i would get an under chassis brace and read up on the d.i.y section on baja forum uk so you can add them as you build. an alloy clutch carrier would be useful and the shell could use some reinforcing
  10. i would only get a rally if it was a 1/5, and i probably still wouldnt get it. Just the terrain capabilities would not be enough for me, i suppose if you run your rc's on smooth-ish areas it could be good, but the lack of chassis choice ( most just seem beefy tc's) and the rarity of them atm isnt a good factor. They would make a nice shelf ornament for me and most likely nothing more.
  11. oh i was just being an idiot. always thought it was the other way around.
  12. After taking the engine apart on my baja to replace a gasket, the carb, when priming, pushes petrol out of the yellow fuel line and i presume the black fuel line is now sucking the petrol in. The carb is on the right way, cant see any holes in the fuel lines, though the petrol tank has been leaking around the cap area for a while now even when it has been sitting for a few days it is always damp. I cant figure out what is going wrong? (unless i am being an idiot and it is meant to be that way )
  13. http://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/product/Aluminum-Front-Lower-Arm-b001a-Alloy-silver-85400.php this is the actual arm by the looks of it so you might just have to buy a new arm unfortunately, maybe put a wanted ad up and see if anyone has a spare lying about.
  14. found the arm, it is a KM baja arm. I doubt they would sell the part you need separate though
  15. do you know what make the alloy arms are? any names on them?
  16. this? http://www.rcpitstop.co.uk/hpi-baja-5b-85408---front-hub-carrier-set-3425-p.asp
  17. The thread on them is here http://www.baja-forum.co.uk/showthread.php?23243-10-inch-tyre-mod/page3
  18. my friend recently got a t1000, the body has really only had one roll so cant tell how well it will hold up but i did notice the rigidity/lack of flex of the body compared to my 5sc but out of the box it was really quite good, handling was spot one, good power, exhaust was a clone of this http://www.bigsquidrc.com/pictures/hpi_racing/full/baja_header.jpg after a few runs the servos both failed in a strange way, bolts began threading, an idiotic design of the rear lower shock mount, the bumper mount broke and the rear shocks have no rebound (once compressed they do not spring back to original position) and the fronts seem to have developed a less severe version of this. The km radio box is different to hpi's slightly, there is no drainage hole on the bottom (so a hpi radio box wouldnt fit in his km) and the servo mount on the km radio box for the steering was too small (unlike a hpi ) for an aftermarket servo i had which was a real pain. But definately get a killswitch no matter what
  19. If the chair is uncomfortable you might get back pain sitting in it for a long time so i would spend it on the chair. If the tv already has speakers you dont really need new ones If your phone isnt broke you dont really need a new one unless you reaaalllly would benefit from better tech(if you do work on the go etc...) if savvy aint broke, dont need fixing. I would get the chair because you need to be able to have a nice comfy seat to sit back in and relax in front of the telly imo
