  1. hi all, it seems that nowadays rc enthusiasts have only one mortal enemy: the common or garden chav. This aggressive creature wears a shiny plastic outer coat and big boots to protect its feet. It frequents skateparks ( which any idiot knows were made for us!? ) and its favourite phrase is "YUR MUM". What are your experiences whith chavs?( preferably stories of them getting hurt) and what do you think we should do about them?
  2. wow, if that goes sixty kph then i have been cheated out off all the money i ever spent on rc... but i dont think it will. I remember my nikko car when i was 6... my mate had a different model and when we used them together one transmitter would control both... happy days
  3. what about making a new group?
  4. smashed the axle mounts when i hit a pallet. Now my wheel is hanging off. I am now going to find my wallet:(
  5. i just have 2 turnigy 3s lipo, 2 plazma 2s lipo, and 1 losi nimh. all of these batterys work with all of my cars though (execpt the micro ts). I find that i dont actually use loads of batterys so i dont need that much
  6. The kings cliff place is really good, i havent used my rc car but it looks the business. by the way, is there a south west bashing group? and does anyone know of a good off road track anywhere?
  7. anyone still following this thread? i live in taunton and would love a meet up. Are you talking about Kings Cliff in north pevvy? ive been there (not bashing) and it looks awesome. There is loads of tracks and bmx runs and jumps in the middle of a forest. Only prob is, sometimes chavs sit at the bottom of the cliff and smoke:( doesnt happen that often though:)
  8. i have exactly the same problem, i live near taunton and want to find a good club reasonably close
  9. Nunney quarrey looks awesome, and it would be great if somene had a meeting there as there doesnt seem to be many south west bashing groups
  10. I live in somerset, and it would be great if there was a south west bashing group or something, that could have meetings every now and then at different places
  11. how do these use other channels on your receiver? do they just plug in to spare ports? will they work on a ansmann virus brushless?
  12. I saw a massive bit of bulding steel, it was steel wires crisscrossing to make squares about 15 cm across. Forgetting the wheels on my ansmann virus are about 4cm wide i gunned it towards this `ramp`. my tires went straight through the wire squares adn the frnt of my car hit the wire. there was a few tense moments until i found out nothing had broken!! Another time i ws with my mate in a skate park with my 1 18 SCT. I had fitted a 3c lipo to it and managed to under estimate how powerfull it was. I went straight for the biggest ramp (about 2.5m high) and my car went straight up, cleared the railings (1.5m further) and managed to go 2 metres higher straight up!! it came down upside down, and also managed to survive, although the servo and battery leads had been pulled out!
  13. Ive got another question for ansmann virus owners: Can you get a chassis cover that fits under the body? This is my bashing car, so it gets covered in mud and because it is 4wd twigs and stones get stuck in the driveshaft. and im not sure just how waterproof it is.... My other question is that what light kits fit the car and do you have to buy a seperate battery for them? i am looking to spruce up my car and i also want to be able to use it when it is semi-dark (evening). Thanks.
  14. i agree that revos are fantastic cars, but i dont have the money to get one!! I prefer cheaper cars that are jam packed with hop ups and lipoo batterys and brushless systems
  15. funny, evryone seems to have chosen differnet cars. Lot of HPIs though. and Tamiyas. the car that got me into Rc was my losi mini t, though it was so slow i would never buy one again.
  16. losi does look good, but its far too expensive. I think manufacturers should keep costs low so everyone can enjoy RC racing
  17. What is the best RC car you ever owned? The one you loved the most? the one that ended up the most battered? Mine is probably my Losi SCT with a 3c LiPo stuck under the front. One set of rear wheels every two bashing sessions.....
  18. LOL, I thought i had damaged mine! it was a prettty good crash though, I managed to launch it off a snow ramp and spin it down the icy road for 10 metres on its top!
  19. I would kill for a cheap bit of FLAT land that i could bash on. Unfortunately, i live on the somerset Levels, so flat land is hard to come by.......
  20. ok, thanks a bit late now but i am pleased with the car i bought
  21. when i was 12 i bought a mini t and learnt my lesson, if you are going to start rc, you need to start at
  22. I was looking at the ftx vantage and it seemed a good car, especialy as i wanted 4wd as the surface i use is very bumpy. However i changed my mind and shelled out more for a barely used 2nd hand ansmann virus brushless. I would have got the Vantage, but there was a lack of spares or hopups on the web ( or was i just being a derp ) and there didnt seem to be an FTX website selling cars. also if you are gong to buy 2 i would buy 2 different cars of the same specs because then racing them is more fun!
  23. yep definitley speed. although it might be a better idea getting a car from a bigger manufacturer as the spares and hop ups are easier to come buy
