  1. Sorry forgot to add text to pics,2 X 959's picked up along with manual and one has original radio too, both runners..original Hornet with repro shell and decals, original Hotshot with repro shell, original CLodbuster built as a Fall Guy replica for those old enough to remember ,and then the Lanci and Sandrover built by myself this year, also picked up a Blackfoot and a mint never run Lancia rally car,the one with the frog type chassis, absolutely as new.
  2. Not been on the scene for a while but have still purchased a few when the moods taken me....
  3. Well done,no harm in a few tears.
  4. My original which I stupidly sold on here, was as new and never run.
  5. Just arrived from ms,looking forward to building it....
  6. A picture after some tuition....
  7. Well after a fairly long break from the hobby,my interest was rekindled by the gift of a Tamiya Sandrover at Christmas from the missus.First thing I did was dump the naff nylon bushes and fitted a bearing kit throughout,I then dumped the puny 380 motor and replaced it with a Tamiya 540 black sprint motor, coupled to a lipo ready esc. I had a 2.4 receiver kicking around along with a steering servo from one of my Axial Scx10's,the next thing was a suitably 60's 70's style paint colour, which I also had in the cupboard. After full assembly and a very brief test run, I had no choice but to order a set of gold alloy shocks, the fronts fitted fine but the rears were too short,so a set of standard Scx10 shocks were stripped for their damping rods (also gold) and along with the springs these were assembled and fitted...I hate standard low quality suspension,so this mod has really please me. Overall I'm really chuffed with the build although I'll probably never run it.. Tried to upload pic,but doesn't seem to work like it use to.. Anyway just ordered a Tamiya Lancia Delta Integrale kit, already have a 4350kv brushless kit sat here for it and a set of rubber sealed bearings on its way....good to be back.
  8. Thanks for the replies,I've ended up ordering a cheapie off of EBay for
  9. Been away from here for a while whilst I regain my rc mojo, but now restoring a vintage Rough rider.I want to update the electrics apart from the steering servo,as I'll probably only run it a couple of times, and the rest of the time it'll be a shelf queen. Obviously will be running 2.4 radio gear, and have just bought a Tamiya Sport tuned black motor for it,so can anyone reccomend an ESC which won't break the bank but will suit that motor and has reverse. Thanks in advance.

That looks like new still, how old is it?
  11. What a fantastic build, getting better every time you post pics.
  12. Thought I'd offer this for sale here and see if of any interest to the Tamiya collecting fraternity,if not I'll banish it to the loft for another 20 years. I believe this model dates to around 1991 ,and considering its age its in remarkably good condition,a few scratches to the underside of the chassis but other than that no suspension damage or anything of note to the shell. The tyres are a little worn, but that is me being picky..must be good if that's as bad as it gets. For sale only at
  13. Thanks for that,was thinking
  14. Have decided to pop them back in the loft apart from the Bearhawk, any ideas on the value of that as I can't find any for sale?
  15. Noj pretty sure the Alfa and celica are Tl01,the scooby is a Tb01....and the pink is pink :-)) does look pretty good in the flesh to be honest.
  16. And found this lot lurking in the back, all have never been run apart from the Bearhawk..not sure whether to put them back or flog em.
  17. As above I'm restoring a Tamiya Roughrider and require all 4 spot lamps ,I believe these were fitted to a few different models,if you have some complete set or not please let me know.
  18. I've been watching some of there projects on Facebook and the quality is fantastic but as you say the price is a little on the hard to swallow side, but what price do you put on building the ultimate rock racer lol
  19. Losi are stunning durable and well engineered short course trucks, but if you want ease of parts availability and upgrades then the Traxxas Slash is very hard to beat, and once done they are pretty much bombproof from my experience, also don't forget the Associated trucks for a smooth and wonderful feed back drive.
