  1. went to the beach today to do some recon for fishing spots and check low tide for possible snagging when beachcasting , scooter performed flawless and i even knocked out a new top end speed record of 65mph on a nat speed limit road, did a 80 mile round trip , its the longest trip little pippa has ever been on with myself. as usual everyone will say it never happened so heres a photo of Cromer pier about 5 mins after i hauled up into the carpark and made my way down to the prom overlooking the beach and the pier in the background the tide was a slack tide ie low tide so its a good 4-5 meters low, the tide usually laps the front of the sea wall defences and in the second image laps up along that shingle bank so you can see just how much the water recedes during low tide and high tides. winter storms ravaged the pier and destroyed the entrance tearing up sheets of concrete spring tides get very high here on the norfolk coast, but again it was a lovely sunny day BUT all those school kids and holiday makers eating ice creams and fish and chips made me super hungry and i was not going to break into the shiney plastic £5 note i keep just incase i run outta gas ( pippa has a faulty fuel gauge aka it dont work lol ). enjoy the view here is one of the other side of the pier where the famous Cromer crab boats haul out at
  2. mackerel feathers all done, pennel pulley rigs all built, spare snoods made up, reel backed with 50lb shock leader, now all i need to do is make a rod bag up so i can carry the telescopic 5pc rod on my back with my rucksack on the scooter and im ready for some mackerel bait fish fishing

sweet AJ, i am in hope of going to do some mackerel fishing so i can get some free bait, maybe even pick up a few small whitting i can clean and fillet for baits .

i just hope i can cope with the colder months when the big ol cods come in, but i am eyeing up a cheap bass caster with the thought of doing some lure fishing for bass to, thats if i can find a few cheap rapala R13's

Just converted my camera tripod into a sea fishing beach rod tripod holder, used a 1/4 to 3/8 camera thread adaptor, reamed out a chunk of hardwood ( half inch thick by about 2.5 inch wide ) , mounted the thread adapter into the reamed out hole and buttoned it down so it fits the quick release base on teh tripod head , now all i need to do is carve / sand out a nice semi circle to hold the rod blank in and use some small tack nails and some rubber inner tube to make a nice padded rubber base so not to scratch the rod blank.

should he able to use some old left of webbing straps to make up some sort of clips i can then strap the tripod to my rucksack , being small when closed down its not so large and having extender legs means i can adjust it to suit the beach - rod length

  3. yeah chooks up here would get snaffled by the local foxes or the local zombie cats lol ....... i made the huge mistake of going to the livestock auction and winning the livestock for a grand total of £6 only problem was auction number 56 was two freaking geese i wanted auction number 58 the two bunnys lol. two days later after the geese were in the pen me and my mate decided we would go in and check up on our new pets ........... we got two freaking killer geese lol breading pair and when they clutching they become evil monsters lol, chased me and friend up a 12ft ladder and i mean the male climbed the freaking ladder after us. lets just say two months later there was two roast geese dinners on a sunday lol my fave pet was snowy the cali buck , we had him from young he was an awesome bunny when he was up on back legs he stood well above the knee caps and was more like a extra large cat than a fluffy bunny with an attitude to. he used to chase the local cats outta the yard and the local birdlife, in summer time he would sneek into the hosue via the back door and take up his bed ontop of the VCR under the tv . If your gonna get a bunny and want something unusual i would honestly say grab a californian buck but you will need to keep and eye on the kids when he/she is around they can be a bit boystrus untill used to handling . ...... Hutch wise you want the largest one you can get hands on these cali whites grow huge and have a max weight of upto 12lb for the bucks, the does go to around 10lb
  4. Spent the day tying mackerel feathers and 1 ought snoods , dragged out the scrap balsa bits to make a couple shakey lures, rigged up three soft plastic sandeel lures , and tried to find a couple of rapala R13 lures , non of my local shops deal with rapala anymore its all that cheap fladen shizzles

i still have a few things for pike and perch  but never get the time to go.

  5. rabbits are ok we had a couple as kids BUT be warned they aint slow whatever they look like and however cute they look, they will also kick out with the hinds when handled and are a bit frisky so you gotta be warned there and they have claws to so need trimming once in a while. they will dig given half the chance , they are masters of escape when given a chance. they are targets for cats - foxes - dogs - and raptors ( not the dinosaur type ) . i can tell you now get the wrong bunny and you can end up with a frakenstien that weighs in well over the 10lb mark , these are usually called californian bucks or californian whites , they grow HUGE and will chase cats and birds from the yard. they have a huge set of claws and kick like a pro linebacker, but they are super cute and huge . chooks are cool to like mentioned they give back eggs so thats sweet, the poop can be worked into the flower beds and give back in the summertime. ducks are noisey but they also give eggs and require a bit of water. goose are devil birds trust me dont get a goose, infact do not buy a male and female goose if you want to be in the yard, they gang up on you and try to mob/mug you ( something we found out to our cost lol ) Puppys are good they also leave you gifts very often but its the cleaning up of those gifts that some dont like and the large vet bills that come with them to.
  6. Phishingbucket just sent me a nice email ....... PAY UP THIS IS A RANSOM FOR YOURZ PHOTOGRAPHS !!!! i feel like sending them a photo of me flipping the bird and the message " i aint paying your ransom request photobucket "
  7. Used up all my 26g kanthal so just grabbed some 28g and wrapped up a couple of 3mm twisted 28g 0.6 ohm coils for the crius tank, and slapped in a couple of 1.1ohm @2mm in the mini goblin and they came out bang on 0.55ohm. so heres the coil sizes and wrap numbers for the aboves. 1.1 ohm 28g single strand 7x wraps round a 2mm bit for the twisted you need to twist two strings of 28g into one strand. twisted 28g @ 0.6 ohm 5 wraps round a 3mm bit Being a much thinner wire you will find the ramp up time on a single strand build super quick as there is less resistance and the wire can heat up a lot faster, with the twisted method the ramp up is still going to be a bit quicker but not so fast as a single strand coil, twisted strands tend to give more flavour and wick up as they hold juice in the micro twists adding more surface area to the coil itself.
  8. problem is this, you buy said cleaner find its works kinda good then .... you look at the cat and decides it needs ultrasonice cleaned, then you see the wifes hairstraightners and would you know it they to need untrasonic cleaning. then you see the kids they need cleaning to ........ darn i whish i had a bigger untrasonic cleaner now
  9. plastic tub with some cleaner fluid and give it to the kids for half hour to make a percusion instrement for their rc band lol haahahha
  10. electric toothbrush or two in a half pint glass , the retro redneck ultrasonic cleaner
  11. All fixed, well kind of ...... new belt fitted - fitted new rollers, BUT the variator has taken a lotta grief ove rthe 17yrs its never been changed out, the rollers had warn away the roller guide walls, they are so worn they are like a very sharpe knife edge. nothing a new variator wont put right. the second problem i cam across was the primary clutch/gear layshaft has at the very least 5-10mm horizontal movement in and out of the rear gearbox, this is not to good for the rolling nut engine ( Vespa Leader engine) , this needs to be looked at in more depth i have a feeling a securing circlip has been forgetfully not fitted or the layshaft itself has pushed the primary gear along the shaft creating a slack area. But scooter is running and we had a new top speed world record to, pippa used to top out at 55mph wide open , she now easly hits 60mph and had more to go, but i had to back away from the power with that iffy front variator , i dont need a roller being thrown through the side wall and destroying the oil sump pan.
  12. if he had been trying to start it and the cords locked up, its a possible hydro lock , remove plug to check for fuel in the upper combustion chamber tip it upside down and drain. 50:1 aint good , 33:1 not bad at all ....... chopping that plug out will give you an idictaion upto the point it stopped on what the motor was running like, it should be a chocolate brown cathode tip , if its a off white you ran to lean for a while, if its black as the universe your running to rich. only real way to tell is dropping the head and jug off, look at the piston you DONT want to see blowback scortch marks , ie black streaks heading down the pistons skirt, thats a sign of ring failure , light scores usually can be honed out take a couple passed with a honing tool will aslo put new cross hatching into the jug wall to. deep scores will have to be milled out and with these being tiny motors your better just grabbing a new jug at that point , you could go oversized but you may find a mech not willing to cut a rebore due to the jug size. a rebuild is more cheaper that a new motor, gasket sealer - gaskets - jug - piston and little end is like what £100 max a new motor can run anything to what a couple hundred quid , rebuild is a better option and you know the motor already so its a goodun aka a keeper. if the coil dropped aka this pickup it would have been smashed to pieces due to the rotatonal force put onto it via the flywheel and its weight, if thats the case it would have damaged the pickup nugget to as it came round and impacted, its very unsusual for a pickup sender to come loose let alone fall off they are usuallly none adjustable so stay at a set measurment form the flywheel like most twostrokes in the small capacity range
  13. way hey big man great news on the recovery you have come a long way , take your time and keep pluging away at things your a fighter and thats what counts. good news on the stick to , i bet they said at home only and in your mind you said " at home my arse , you mean where ever i can and when possible " the photos are stunning as usual buddy your little camera gizmo is doing wonders for you keep it all up and keep on snapping
  14. drop the cylinder and head , check for damage to the cylinder wall you could have gotten away lightly and just semi heat seized , by the sounds of it you had a soft seize and not a full on, a full on seize means the alloy piston has welded itself to the inner nichrome surface on cylinder wall usually comes down to poor upkeep on motor and failed rings causing the piston to heat in wrong areas and jamming it solid. you maybe able to get away with a light 0.5 reskim on the bore and just run an oversized 0.5 piston , you could do with a rejet as your now at a larger capacity, while at it split the case and give the bottom end bearings a replacement check the crank for heat damage/bluing and if it looks good install back in, why buy a new motor if that one has been somewhat bullet proof , just rebuild it and have more hours of fun. we rebuild our two stroke scooter motors every 10,000 - 15,000 miles and they last for ever unless you crack the casings snugging up bolts and fixings etc etc. i would go with a rebiuild its cheaper than a full motor purchase , you get to do some wrenching work the motor gets some new gubbins and its back alive again no faffing around just a straight rebuild and break in
  15. yeah its a stupid rolling nut motor to , meaning the motor side cover acts as a span point and holds a bearing with the clutch spline going through and secured via a nut on the outside of case, when wheels spinning the nut spins to, hence rolling nut. took video to local bike shop and he said " wow sounds like big end " , i mentioned the lock up and the motor runs fine its just the rattle from the variator front end, he says it could be just the variator but then it could be the big end to. im stuffed , it costs £50 new variator ( stock chinese knockoff) , £35 variator belt , £7 roller weights , then theres the labour at £50 an hour, if the clutch is damaged from the loose belt flapping, thats another £45. a new motor is like £200 -300 and thats not including labour charges.
  16. 55MPH down the local major dualled A road, lorrys and cars everywhere when something major happens ....... my rear wheel locks up and im am sent into a 100m long snaking sliding skid. it was a huge effort to keep the scooter upright and in a rough straight line but i got it under control and to a stop on the hard shoulder, it was then a 3/4 mile walk to the nearest service station / parking point. i got the rear wheel freed up left the ignition on with the left indictaor flashing and my main lights aglare but made it safely to the service station. parked the bike up only to be told by the SHELL GARAGE that i could NOT leave my bike there while i waited on recovery.... yeah Screw you SHELL i will not be buying fuel from your service stations if you cannot even spare a small parking space for a lone biker thats nearly just been in a major accident. im still a bit shaken up from the somewhat joy ride the scooter tried to take me on but i am in one piece, i have recovered poor old pippa and its not looking good, first indictaors are i have blown out the variator and shreaded the belt at the same time its possible i have thrown the clutch to , heres a video of the damage noise its not a good sign , i have a alloy to steel rattling grinding/ knocking and that points to a fragmentation of the variator or worse senario ihave torn the front fixed pulley half from the crank itself allowing the belt to wrap around the rear clutch and lock the wheel untill it shreadded enough to free wheel.
  17. heres my thinking. you come a cropper riding with a shoe but some uneventful thing happens and the foot peg burries itself into your calf. thats a lotta skin grafting and damage even a possible loss of foot due to infection from the grimey surface, or you break leg midway between ankle and knee thats going to be some right mess. your riding with a boot come off like above but due to the boot being full length theres a lotta protection, your calf takes a hammering but it stays intact ok you maye be on crutches for a few weeks but its betetr than a hospital bed for a few months or even a prosthetic lower limb. for the past 4-5 months i have been riding with a set of Spada SP1 boots and i can tell you they are darn blooming comfy even to walk in and these are a full boot, i can vouch for the comfort and the movement nfact if i wanna go out im on the bike and im always wearing the SP1 that means walking round the town, down the riverside etc etc . a full boot offers so much more in protection but they can be comfy and allow you to walk around in comfort to being a semi race stlye they have the extra padding and pokey bits but they have the shin ripple allowing for flexion of the ankle in walking and bending
  18. just adjusted my 200ml mix to a 25% flavour, its been steeping since friday, took a 10ml sample today thrown it into the little goblin RTA running at 0.4 ohm and its bloomin lovely a very very nice vape i must say , i did try the 20% but to me it lacked that flavour punch i was after, the full 50ml concetrate added has boosted the vape'ability by 100%
  19. Juice is all cooked up heres the recipie if you folks wanna try it. Makes 200ml 40ml alchemests cupboard rosey apple (50ml for £13) or for 25% flavour go with 50ml rosey apple 20ml PG (100ml for £2) 120ml VG ( boots value health £1.50p 200ml) 2x 10ml 18mg nic shots alchemists cupboard ( £4) 30/70 pg-vg ratio @ 20% flavour and a 0.18mg nic strength you may want to roll with a 25% flavour its got a better after taste than with a 20% , i adjusted my 200ml to a 25% flavour ( a full 50ml ) makes 50ml 10ml alchemists cupboard rosey apple (left over from above) 12.5ml will give you a 25% flavour and a better punching taste 5ml PG 5ml nic shot 18mg 30ml VG 30/70 pg-vg ratio @ 20% flavour and a 0.18mg nic strength Thats going to make up 6X 30ml bottle at a strength of 0.18mg ....... in a shop 30ml bottle of juice can cost upto £17 so if you add up the numbers for £20.50p your making up near on over £102 quids worth of eliquid if you went and purchased from a store. STEEPING the above juice, i recommend you steep for a couple of weeks, giving bottle a vent and shake each morning and if possible evening, just remove lid blow over bottle top , repalce lid and shake then leave to stand in a dark cool cupboard out of the way from little fingers ( tuck it in garage etc etc out of the way)
  20. Just getting ready to mix up a batch of 250ml Rosey apple vape juice gives me 8x 30ml bottles and a 10ml tester, this is now my most vaped flavour , its got a very slight custardy twang but a nice smooth apple kick , just like those little green and yellow boild apple sweets (apple n custard i think they were). nice thing is its not an in your face custard taste either
  21. carboot wise : little spinners 50p each 3x glow stick packs £1 each 1x long nose extractors £2 1x pike mouth spreader £2 large crankbait plus £2.50 each plastic feeders x2 £1 selection of floats and rubbers £5 2x tube of weighted shot £3-5 thats a rough costing its been a long time since i been fishing
  22. first ride out on the skipper 125 st fourstroker
  23. Guess what i have done ? you know you all said " tami stop throwing money at a lost cause aka Pedro " ..... well today pedro was sold to a 16yr old new rider , his first bike and he wanted cheap, i told him about pedro's problems even gave him the reciepts to show the next to 800 quid in parts and labour costs to get it how it runs now and it was sold with a sold as seen statement. he took it up the road for a quick test , after i gave it a run up and down the road at full WOT, he came back with a huge smile wider than the english chanel. the deeds were sorted the money exchanged hands and pedro left my ownership . i have been quiet about it BUT wedensday i went to view a new scooter and the same day i came back with a Piaggio Skipper 125cc ST fourstroke . yep thats the V1 leader engine , its got 20k on clocks but mot wise totting up its only done around 10k max (skippers are known for the clocks rotting out and having to be replaced and i think thats what has happened here) its got a full 12month mot its been taxed and im fully insured to no more highly strung twostroker ride outs and vlogs now im on a 125 thumper and can take things more easy , so here is Pippa the Skipper
  24. yeah just the crius tank leaking, my little bargin buy UD goblin is killer, not had a single leak at all, bit fiddley having to use a screwdriver to fill with juice but its fantabulos , im gonna say its a super small build deck so for newbies its not ideal but its blooming good. crius i been using monster coils at 3mm and running like 6 wraps then stuffing them with 6mm cotton wicking and then cutting it down to fit juice ports.
