  1. One very quick designed battery holder. Fits the battery perfect, no way the battery is coming out. Just gotta drill 2 holes. Yes the 2 arms are at different heights, that's because the mounts on the orig hyper are at different heights. All measured with callers and dimensions are what I made it to. Not bad for a £250 3d printer.
  2. Looks more sensible. Thanks wrighty, 3d printer is currently running a holder I just quickly knocked up. Will see how it turns out first. Covers go right down to the wire. Looks good on the computer. Will see the real thing in 2 hours.
  3. Have managed to loose my hyper 7 battery cover. The original has always been a bit pants needing zip ties to secure it. Thinking of quickly designing a new one and wondered if anyone has done this already? Thinking a solid top for screws then having the outside cover up the entire battery so the battery can't slip out like it does on the stock. Anything else you would like to see?
  4. After some faffing it started and ran. It was very lean though. Got up to 270f. Had to richen the high need 5/8 turn. Still running to hot. Used to run on byron fuel and have opti fuel now. Lots of smoke. Low speed is a bit to rich and can bog a tad.
  5. Cheers, will get some of the gasket seal. Not sure, just says Hyper 21 on the side, brought before the first black version was released I think, Replacing all the fuel lines as they are minging. It seems it survived the long sit fairly well, can’t remember what I did before I set it up, definitely didn’t clean the outside and wires hanging out for some reason, fuel tank is also off for a reason I dont know. always load it up with oil after I’ve finished with it though.
  6. Hi all, Really long time (5 years or longer)since I’ve had the money to play with the rc car. Have a hyper 7 .21 Just brought fuel and things and then tried the pull start, completely seized engine. Took the back plate of and think the after run oil has completely congealed. Tiny spot of rust maybe here and there. With some brake cleaner, gt86 and fire I’ve managed to free it all up. Turns as good as it ever has. Seal on the backplate and completely broken down, same with the air filter slip on cover. do you need the orange seal or will I be ok with the seal in the tubes you squeeze on? It hasn’t had that many hours on it. Not taking gear off yet, is there anything there I should check, never taken that off so bit scary. just power cycling old and new batteries. many thanks
  7. Thanks R46 I think i tried adding a washer last year when i last tried to get it started but cant remember now, i did something that meant that the clutch bit kept falling off as it couldnt screw it in far enough. A shim may be better as its slightly thinner. Will give it a go at the weekend thanks.
  8. Hi, A while ago i brought a nuova faor sf501 nitro bike. The engine will not start as the flywheel cone thingy and the flywheel rub against the engine. I cant find a decent supplier for parts like this, guessing it where its a foreign brand ( seems cheap and horrible product ). Does anyone know if the hyper 7 engine would fit? Its seems to have a similar layout. Thanks.
  9. Brill, thanks. Took the charger into work but only realised when i got there that i couldnt remember if i had to set the cut offs.
  10. Hi, I have the ansmann xbase 2.0 that i havnt used in a while. Im trying to charge a ni-mh battery. Its a 3v 1.25ah battery, How do i go about charging this? I cant see any options to enter volts or mah. Cant work out how to set the cut off when full, im using auto kode with a max current of 0.6. Many thanks.
  11. Hoping to test drive a vRS on Sunday. Was quite impressed with the Astra handling when I drove that, booted it coming off the roundabout and it felt solid. If it wasn't for the gearbox I would get one I think.
  12. Which one would you go for? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201209453304075/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/fuel-type/diesel/model/fabia/make/skoda/postcode/po169nu/radius/100/page/1/keywords/vrs?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201208451364989/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/fuel-type/diesel/model/fabia/make/skoda/postcode/po169nu/radius/100/page/1/keywords/vrs?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201210455408139/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/fuel-type/diesel/model/fabia/make/skoda/postcode/po169nu/radius/100/page/1/keywords/vrs?logcode=p
  13. Such as a shame that such a good looking car has such a big problem. How about the SEAT ibiza FR?
  14. Going to have a look at a vRS tomorrow after work. Hoping I'm going to like the looks of the outside as I'm not sure if I like the styling looking at pics online. The inside looks better than the Astra though. Yeah, the Astra's biggest let down is supposed to be the gearbox. Really like the styling of the Astra.
  15. Just looked again at the pre 2010 vRS and i dont think i could live with the looks. May be the astra.
