  1. I've been looking at the Tamiya mini 4WD cars recently (not slot cars I know) and i think they look a lot of fun. Expensive track though my daughter really likes the look of the Kumamon and panda cars.
  2. Has anyone tried those glow starters which take an AA battery? Cheapy Hong Kong dealios. Or do they take those 18650 batteries?
  3. Where would you say is the best place for Silverlit bikes? I'm really interested but they seem hard to find in the UK.
  4. I revoke my previous suggestion. Although the price is closer to
  5. In that vein, I'd throw out the FTX Colt. I think it's really nice looking and should be very easy to upgrade when you're ready. It is only 1:18 but RTR for
  6. Gearing down probably a better idea... Edit: oops wrong quote...
  7. And therapeutic. I used to spend as long stripping and cleaning my nitro as I did bashing. Then my girlfriend would come in my room and see an exploded car spread across a towel on the floor. "Yeah... Please don't stand on that..." Didn't put her off too much, we're now engaged with two kids.
  8. As far as the bottom of the chassis goes, it's been grated already. I picked up the roller used (it's a Sprint EP) for about
  9. As it's a first attempt I used double sided tape. Three wide strips then cut the shape using an xacto. I think if I do it again I'll use a can of spray on glue, get a nice covering so I'll stay down. Bit worried about it lifting at the edges.
  10. The Carson, if it is one (looks like a Smartech, Speedy Tiger) looks like a 4wd (not like labeled on the shell) missing a lot of parts including dog bones and the front drive shaft. Obviously the back arms etc.
  11. Looks like a Cen Talon. http://www.cenracing.com/cars/nx/talon.html
  12. Stuck a page from a comic to my chassis and I'm looking for opinions please? http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/208168-chassis-covering/#entry2170135
  13. Hi guys, I have a WIP drifter but I've not made any progress recently due to being skint. So I thought I would try something out: Just a first attempt but what do you think?
  14. Did the TL01b come with a rally car body at some point or was that just a crazy idea I had?
  15. Alright sorry distributed, but I read recently in Racer mag that Absima was an Ansmann line. I know I've only heard bad things about Ansmann cars, weak and poor moulding. I thought that short course was based on the Mad Rat but couldn't be sure, didn't know how much extra stuff they stuck to it. Also I seem to remember the Rat being fairly small, unless the Core is not particularly big?
  16. Ansmann stopped making cars but kept making accessories, electrics and Tx systems but under the name Absima. Sort of shows what stigma the Ansmann brand gives.
  17. I have a similar issue with my Tomahawk ST, where it cuts when you apply any throttle for a long while until the engine is nice and hot then it seems to work okay. On inspection I have a ding where the exhaust meets the engine so I've started to sand it out, still have yet to try it out again.
  18. Where have you been hanging out on Facebook? I need more RC stuff showing up in my news feed instead of selfies and "You'll never guess what happened when they opened this box..." Rubbish.

Yeah I prefer the green stuff, bit cheaper and has red print on the box. I kinda felt the white superfine was a bit grainy. I think it's probably better for use on a shell though. It should stick no problem you just might find it difficult to get a nice finish. I'd be interested to see how it goes.

Milliput is great I used to use it on action figure customising and general household fixing stuff.
