  1. Built up and fitted the 2speed gear reduction gearbox for my MND90 Rover
  2. I love the Kyosho Rampage. I bought a set of new tyres and wheels for better traction on gravel and grass as the stock ones are super grippy for tarmac.
  3. If you want to bash in a skateboard Park the thing I can think of is traxxas Slash as a basher
  4. I sometimes get fed up of constantly maintaining my collection of rc cars!!!

Yeah I agree but sometimes it just gets to you when all your models are not working or they  all need some sort of maintenance lol I've got 6 to look after mate 😅

Keep one or two running and tinker with the rest. Excluding bare chassis I think I've got about 10 on the go now, at least 5 of those I can pick up and run.

  5. I've got the Range Rover classic Carisma RC, great rig for crawling, i still miss my Unimog every time i see yours but oh well life contiunes lol
  6. I thnik i need to replace my stock servo on my Savage X too, it seems to be lagging on the turns due to the wheel width. I was thinking of getting a bangood servo or maybe even a Savox
  7. Applied a fuel tank mod for my Savage X. I just hope that it will work out well if not I’ll swap it for another non savage tank.
  8. Update - I got a hpi 150c truggy tank, I’m going to see if I run into leaning issues with this tank
  9. with the added weight does truck get pushed to the ground?
  10. anyone know a good replacement tank for the Savage X? to prevent the engine leaning out? i'm eager to buy a tank but need to know which has been good for this model
  11. Go for Team Associated SC 28, I've got one for £47 and haven't looked back. They are quiet nippy, fast acceleration and super smooth steering and highly gripy tyres on tarmac/laminated flooring. I use mines indoors around my living room going around the dinning table forever almost to the point where i am hypnotising myself at high speeds🤣
  12. Took my Savage X for a ride. meet Kyosho Savage ..
  13. thnks for the offer and help Nitroholic, I wouldn't want take the route of modding the mid tank as i would rather keep the Savage as it is however I'm keen on getting a losi or hyper fuel tank and to try it out and see how it handles the pressure line. Do you know any tanks you can recommend which is at least 125ml to hold up with original stock tank ?
  14. I'd rather replace the stock tank with another non savage tank. What tank would you recommend or what have ppl generally gone for?
  15. Does anyone know how on earth am i supposed to sort out the pressure issue with the Savage X as the engine starts to run hotter and hotter and losses pressures as the fuel gets low. there seems to be lot of info on tank mod etc but what's the best action to take or do as i'm baffled from the mixed inforamtion on this problem out there!
  16. looks beautiful Tug. my good old DBXL
  17. I don't have a absolutely favourite RC brand but i have a few favourite names due to the design of their body shells the way they look/appear, the way the chassis looks, and quality of the components. It's all in my signature
  18. @Nitroholic @Jumper I've got an update gentleman. I took my Savage X out today, I adjusted the grub screw out a little bit and it made a difference already from what i can tell. When I apply just about a half a throttle I can hear a clicking, i'd guess this is 2nd gear correct? Now comes the next interesting part; The car goes fast from what i can tell most of the time but sometimes it seems and feels like as if the Savage is on low RPM whilst on the ground as if its stuck on a gear or something and this is what baffles me and can't figure out what is going on with it. Now my x 3 clutch shoe with hard springs originally from my race spec Losi buggy which were in storage were installed on the Savage and not the stock HPI stuff on the engine but the clutch bell is the stock Savage one. Any advice appreciated
  19. very useful info there about the Savage X, thanks a lot Nitroholic. I can see the grub screw and the spring is beneath it and from the look of things it looks over-tightened. The grub screw is really screwed in. Is it a must to thread-lock the grub screw when i back it off a little bit?
  20. hmm sounds like point on, sometimes my savage takes of slower compared to the other take offs on a single tank
  21. Hi all Savage owners how would one tell if my 2speed gear does shift in my savage x? At the moment the savage ain't doing no wheelies and despite tuning it good it still remains rather at a constant speed from what i can tell
