Every time I fancy taking my nitro truggy out my glow starter is flat- are those AA compatible ones any good? Or any recommendations?

Could just get something like this and run it from a random lipo, I’d probably use something like this as my main starter nowadays if I still did nitro I reckon.

Looking at getting one of those Outcast 4s v2’s. Initially I preferred the bronze but then the blue started growing on me. Then wife whose favourite colour is blue said bronze and ofc all the kids are saying blue 🤦🏼♂️
I’d prefer the blackness of the 6s but I’m not that rich and the 4s still looks fun 😄

4620kv 540 motor, countless dual 2s packs, often larger and/or heavier than stock wheels, still running the centre tranny - 0 diff issues in all the many many years i’ve abused mine.
I don’t bother with 3s and/or standing backflips anymore though, I’m old 😄
Anyone remember selling me a full blue rpm tenbol merv with one of those blue 380 in a 540 can motors (not what I run now)? What magic did you do to the diffs? Tell those lot ☝🏻☝🏻🤣

Yeah the 380 velineon will just drop right in…I run a 540 on a tenbol mount myself but they are probably rocking horse doo doo nowadays…brushed 1/16 summit mount though is just as good/easy for 540 should you feel the need. I had another one on the velineon 380 and it was good enough tbh. 2s for long lasting fun is plenty imho - 3s for showing off/breaking stuff 😂

Hitec hs82mg is what you need 👍🏻
The 380 velineon is plenty of motor for a merv…manageable fun on 2s…madness on 3s. Esc can just be double sided sticky foamed to the chassis.
If you did ever want to go 540 the brushed summit motor mount is actually the easiest way 😄
Those shocks aren’t stock…the stock ones don’t hold oil so they’ll either be just as good or better at least so that’s a bonus.
Still love my merv…had it for years…will have it for more years 🙂
