  1. My Overlander 3900 mah 7.4v lasts for ages, at least half an hour, often more.
  2. Great, thanks. Anyone know what size a pinion grub screw requires?. MS sell individual ones, the Fastrax ones are cheapish. They do 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 mm ones.
  3. My nephews RS2 pinion keeps coming off. It's hardly been used much. I presume I'm tightening it down correctly, onto the flat part of the motor shaft? Would a dab of loctite help? Also can anyone recommend any tools to purchase from MS or elsewhere to do the job properly other than a very thin spindly allen key I had to use. Undoing the plastic case to get at the pinion stripped a very soft allen head. Had to use the allen key as my proper tools didn't go down small enough to use them.
  4. Awesome. I'd keep the shell totally original if it was me.
  5. Looks great. I'd stick a figure or two in it tho!
  6. Think you mean a Traxxas Bandit, not HPI.
  7. Apparently he's totalled the bodyshell big time. Guess he's only 8 or 9 so needs to be playing with it in wide open spaces really. I've not got out there to tape it up for him. Might get another shell if it's totally battered. Any other shells fit? MS lists various types, Proline etc. Wonder if a SC shell would fit, or just another truggy shell?
  8. Should keep you busy then! Keep the pics coming.
  9. How many bags are there? I'm tempted to buy a kit, not the XS though.
  10. Thanks guys, I may well get a soldering iron at some point. Cheers CornwallRC, I didn't realise that. They only charge
  11. Just curious as to why MS only appear to sell one 7.2v NiMh stick pack with a Deans connector. Unless I'm being thick and can't see any others? Am looking for a cheapo stick pack to give my nephew as he only has one, the Orion 3300mah one that MS sell. Just to keep him running while that one charges back up but it seems Modelsport only sell one and was looking for a cheap one. Is it because most other cars that need NiMh's are Tamiya's or Traxxas and so there's not much call for Deans NiMh's? I don't have any access to soldering irons or anything. Ideally I'd like to buy it from MS as I have other stuff to order at same time (new TX/RX) so I can save on postage costs. It's no biggie, I can order the Orion again, but was hoping to get a lower capacity cheaper one.
  12. SpeedView App, for android phones. Free download. Works well. I strapped it under the bodyshell. 38mph on 2S battery.
  13. This thread might help: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/140946-lrp-s10-blast-anyone-had-any-experience-of-em/
  14. Hey, how are you getting along with it so far?
  15. The Carisma M14's are just under 60 quid but are really for very flat smooth surfaces only as they have little ground clearance. Quite nippy though and various option parts available. The Electrix Smash is 1/18th scale and is
  16. I've got a few Carisma ones I can post you for nowt, if you wanted.
  17. What battery are you using?
  18. Cheers I'll take a look at some bumpers. I meant throttle trim, not steering trim, derr. Edited it now.
  19. Thanks mate. Had a play with the truck finally tonight. It's great! Pretty quick on a nimh but really came alive on a lipo. He loves it. But you're right, the TX is total cack. The throttle trim keeps changing, so the car sometimes moves all by itself even though it's just been set correctly a few mins before. Will look into a replacement soon. The shell seems quite brittle and now has a corner missing from a gentle crash (might try duct taping the inside up) and the pinion gear came loose after about 2 mins and completely off the shaft. Guess it wasn't tightened right at the factory. Managed to sort it though. Any ideas on a replacement big bumper? Can't seem to find any. All in all though he's gonna have a lot of fun with it hopefully.
  20. It looks similar to that Tomy one, although where the wheels join onto the chassis looks different, the Haiboxing's (hubcarriers? Not sure of name of the black plastic bit) angled forwards, but the Tomy pretty much vertical. Argos are asking
  21. Interesting, any problems with the ESC or motor on 3S?
  22. Quick question, does your lads RS2 ESC flex on the plastic plate that it sits on? The one I've got flexes loads, maybe it's designed that way, but it's not a solidly fixed in position type job like most are. Mine's not seated straight either, it's been stuck down at an angle, so as it flexes it touches the rear shock tower. MS told me it's fine, so I trust them, but just wondered if yours moves if you push it back and forth (as if you were going over bumps in the ground). Cheers
  23. Hi mate. He's back tomorrow night so I'll hopefully give him the truck then or sometime in the week depending how I am (you know how it is) so I'll check it out then and see what the reverse is like. I ordered some preload clips coz the back ends well saggy so hopefully they'll come tomorrow. You managed to get the summit out at all this weekend?
