Anyone running these. Just ordered from USA as no one in UK has them. I didn't want a huge pipe and filter hanging off a velocity stack on the new engine when it arrives.... Seems a good way forward for improved filtration Paul

Just ordered a new tuned g320 and in the specs the carb has the bearing mod which I know about and the choke removed....This caught my attention...Not a great deal of info about the benefits but came across a bit on a helicopter forum...!!!!!!Apparently adds over 5% more power...Can any of you experienced gassers elaborate more on this mod ? Clearly it's to do with flow rates thru the carb...Engine is a g4z Evo 32Cheers.Paul

Ordered the TLR bleeder caps for the 5ive t shocks. Any tips on how much shock oil should be put in and bleeding them please. Thanks Paul

Kill switch. Check oils on shocks and diffs. Check pinion gear bolt I would order some spare bladder caps for the shocks as when I checked my DNT, all shocks were only 80% full and the bladder caps were feathered so wouldn't seal. Chassis brace front and back cheap upgrade and skid plates. Diff oils...... I run 20k front, 60k middle, 10k rear. Shock oil 35wt front 45wt rear. Everybody to their own on oils Epoxy a 5p under the droop screw on each corner. Works a treat to protect the chassis. First real upgrades. Center diff gear case changed to alloy and change the center diff plastic towers out for alloy at a later date, and change the bearings out for either decent automotive bearings if you have a bearing supplier near you or team fast eddy bearing kit. Acer bearings do a hybrid ceramic bearing kit for the losi 5t which fits the DNT that I keep looking at... It's a very solid model, and the stock 29cc is actually very good. Stock Exhaust is ear splittingly LOUD bit is pretty good.

Just rejoined the large scale RC scene after a number of years away with a 30 dnt. Well happy with it. I do have a question tho.. Does anyone use a dry lube on the pinion/spur gears ? I've got a can of quite expensive wurth dry chain lube left over from my motorcycling days and wondered if there is any benefit to lubing the spur gear ? The fid dragon hammer is what I'm looking at getting tanveer. People say it's expensive but when a new 5t rtr is £1500 today the DH rtr is cheaper and doesn't need any chassis hop ups from the start unlike the 5t. The other thing I really like about the DH is the shell. A lot less prone to damage unlike the 5t's. Keep us updated please on how you get on with it bud. A full run review of the DH V2 would be really appreciated tanveer and if the V2 has sorted the roll over issues. I'd also add that whilst the losi 5t is a great RC, since its release in 2011 losi have appeared to sit on their hands and not improve it other than with a 29cc engine and spectrum avc. Looking good m8. It's such a shame tho losi never bothered to address the overheating issues. You shouldn't have to take a drill to a shell that to replace is 125 quid minus paint / skin job. Well heatsink compound is cheap and doesn't require drilling or anything m8. Just makes a better thermal couple at the mounting points. Your not gonna loose anything by that mod... Well bar a couple of quid for the compound.. It's something I will do when I get my 5 Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

It's only a thought but every little bit helps. It may well be worth using heatsink compound on the mounts and bolts from the engine to chassis. It may help transfer heat to the chassis which is a big heatsink... Could be worth a couple of degrees m8 Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

It's just a thought supersavage. But I'd have thought wrapping the exhaust would create it's own problem in heating up the exhaust port from the engine. The heat cannot get away. Don't know how ceramic coating alters heat transfer and whether that would create heat soak to the engine too Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Been following this and still on the fence over the losi or 30 buggy. Watched a few vids of the 30. Hi. I'm looking at getting a 5b. Want a zenoah 290 in it, radio gear that isn't stupid priced but works well and supports a kill switch channel. A full build order effectively. Now I understand that the zenoah doesn't fit without CY bits etc I understand from this forum that freepawn is no longer trading which is a shame as everyone recommended him. So is there a one stop shop that's really reputable I can get everything from ? What is going to be needed for the zenoah lump being fitted ? Will it bolt in without issue or are other parts needed ? I'm going to be having a 3 month rest from work due to a leaky heart valve being replaced and DVLA saying I won't be able to drive for 3 months, so an ideal time to put a 5b together to stop me going nuts with boredom at home.
