  1. This is why when I built a Brushless Hyper 7 For my Nephew, I gave him Li-Fe cells to run with it instead of Li-Po. Still a Lot better than Nimh, twice the energy density and good discharge rate. But you can put a Nail through one without worrying about Explodium.
  2. I'm thinking shoe goo or hotglue around the wires atleast, or some kind of putty, anything that can mold into the uneven awkward gaps. I can't see sealing them up against dust or grit working any other way, and if they don't get completely sealed, and you seal up the other holes then I can see muck building up in there unable to escape, making things 10 times worse. Meet in the middle, £50 posted? Half price of new is fair going rate for second hand and that would be £45 One brand new never used and fitted with Castle bullets and ready to go went for £40 posted earlier, so I think my offer is fair. Just kinda Eager to get my spare Hyper ST Pro chassis running so I have something for family to have a go with to run along with mine.
  3. Yeah, true, Could block the holes with hot glue or something. Would you go £45 Posted?
  4. What are these like for use in offroad with the holes in em? Doesn't junk get stuck in there between the rotor and stator and wreck stuff?
  5. Long as the voltage isn't much higher, you use a Li-po low voltage alarm and the battery fits. I see no reason why not. Won't be too much difference in performance though, and pushing higher voltage will likely just melt the motor.
  6. Good excuse to go Drifting on Tarmac....
  7. Good bracing on the back end there, also notice the front brace connects up high on the shock towers, why didn't others do that rather than connecting it lower down on the bulkhead..... Where are these trucks made? Taiwan?
  8. I've never heard "too good at everything" used as a down point before, methinks you are a Hobao truggy stockist looking to move some merchandise 🤑 Nork! Nork! Nork!
  9. If you wanted a real step up, Tekno ET48 is a smashing bit of engineering. More of a racer but built solid enough for bashing.
  10. Nightmare.. Oh well the FTX Carnage is an OK truck and should give you a blast regardless. Bash on!
  11. Hah nothing wrong with a rusty truck! If you're just bashing anyway. Rusty driveshafts and drive cups are no problem as long as they are not rusted through. Replacement bearings pack from RCBearings.co.uk is cheap as chips. Insides of the Diffs should be fine as they are filled with grease or oil and should be OK. Take everything apart and make a photographic list of everything that is Completely mechanically Inoperable And I'll use that to put you together a complete package and repair kit from all my old parts for the cost of postage 👍 Pretty sure we can get you up and running with a Much better truck in the Hyper ST for the same price or less than the FTX , will go faster, hold up a lot better to abuse and tackle much more serious terrain too.
  12. What parts would the Hyper ST have Needed?
  13. Hyper ST Conversion would probably be your best option here, a ton more robust than the FTX. The motor mounts are not too hard to come by. I can get hold of one for you, and you can use a Losi 8 battery tray. I can walk you though the entire thing and help you get up and running. There's some info in the signature below my post.
  14. Best not, that 1000mah limit may be why you've not run into any issues with the battery. Just charge on the Li-fe PO setting. And keep note of the MAH readout while it's charging.
  15. Also, You can Dial your throttle EPA down to limit the max throttle (and reverse!). My 2 Year old Nephew Drives my Hyper ST running a 6S Mamba Monster 2200KV just fine.
  16. Could be Li-Fe though, as there's these... https://www.amazon.com/900mAh-Battery-EL-2P-Racing-Speed/dp/B07GL55TC3 Try Charging it on the Li-Fe 3.3v setting. And then Discharge it to 3.0V on the charger, and if the Amount of MAH drained shows near the 1,000 mark after being discharged from a full charge. then Is probably Li-Fe
  17. LiIo = Lithium Ion so that's the one you want.
  18. Funny how random stuff knocking around in the ole headmeats can turn out handy, saw these Years ago. Might fit your application.... Think it's a Knockoff of a Tyco Twister This one is missing the Battery and Charger, but easy to bodge something to power it. https://www.amazon.com/Tyco-Radio-Control-Terrain-Twister/dp/B00027P7RM Otherwise this is Similar https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Wheels-Terrain-Frustration-Free-Packaging/dp/B00XMP9R7W/ref=dp_ob_title_def Based off this wild Real vehicle Also, check this out... Grass would need to be short for the MECANUM wheels to work properly for the Side to side driving. Screw Type drive might be better. There's a few like this actually
  19. Also, according to this thread, you're best off getting the Desert Buggy version of the Bushmaster, thicker better chassis, and CNC shock towers rather than Stamped Alu https://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/962739-thunder-tiger-bushmaster-8e-2.html
  20. Also, whatever you get, Make sure you Re-inforce your bodyshell with fibreglass Scrim tape and ShoeGoo, as that takes a beating. Something Like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/48mm-x-90M-SCRIM-TAPE-Long-Roll-EU-MADE-Fibreglass-Mesh-Drywall-Plasterboard-UK/113721306108?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Will last you for a good several bodyshells, Being actual fibreglass is better, some Scrim I can easily tear by hand. That one I got, and can't.
  21. I'd have to say the Hyper VS too, Very Stonk Like bull yet parts are cheap and available, probably the most available of the 3 thanks to the Ebay chopshops... Decent on a track, so a pleasure to drive even if just bashing. And as a bonus, Made in the REAL china (Taiwan), not the place that got taken over by the Dystopian Communist Bandits who lied about and gave us the coofcoof 😛 All round lovely car, lot of attention to detail EG vibration absorption in the motor mount to prevent excessive wear on the Spur side Center Diff bearings, and plenty of support available for them community wise too. Can't go wrong with one really.
  22. Oh Carp that's a bit expensive. You can get a Losi 8 Battery Tray and fit that. Much better than that Horrible thing. And you can pickup a Motor Mount Separately. You will save yourself a Fair bit of money and have a better built conversion. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOSA4461-Team-Losi-Battery-Tray-8E-New-in-Package/321573532965?hash=item4adf46b525:g:6Q4AAOSwqYZZuuH1 Might want to pick that up fast, there were only 2 and I just bought one for my Second Hyper ST Conversion. Speaking of which there's a Couple handy links in my Signature below.
  23. Maybe? Bit Like like Bumble Bee, but with youtube videos instead of sound bites, hehe...
  24. Hehe Nickarla, if there were more people like me, we might have a better Economy, BUT on the other hand we'd risk Britain being a rather..... Silly Place And yeah Guns, that's what I'm on the lookout for. Second hand motor in good condition for my daily basher, and save the money to see what ole Blighty can rustle up for my long term project car... We may not be known for making the best brushless motors, But we certainly made the best Pigeons!
