  1. Very nice truck Captain. I am suprised to see no lights on that front Bling, Bling, bull bar
  2. BTW, just has a quick look at the applications for this stuff in 'motoring' as it lists 'Waterproofing wire on spark terminals'. There are loads of other examples of this product being used as an insulator. Based on that, I doubt this product is conductive. Check the link I gave above, there are more PDF files there to read, and a contact number to ring and ask
  3. UK Site That's where I got mine from. Ordered a few weeks back online. I think they delivered in 2 or 3 days.
  4. Ditto - I will have one also at £10 posted. PM me your PayPal details. Cheers
  5. Link to colour for 27MHz http://rcsource.hobbypeople.net/faqs/freqlist.htm
  6. Getting the 3rd channel means that you are future-proofing your investment. Say at the moment you only have a 2 channel car, but in 6 months you get a car that has reverse (3rd channel) or want lights (3rd channel) you would have a problem with only a 2 channel TX. I bought a DX 3 and could have bought a DX 2 to save costs. I am glad I bouught the DX 3 as I now have an LST with reverse on it
  7. ^^^^^ agree with that, just read the instructions on the side of the tin
  8. I removed my servo saver. Gave me loads of problems (kept jumping out) and replaced it x3!! I put on a normal alloy horn + the steering bearing kit and a MG995 servo It's seriously good fune, the doughnuts are imense This is the car that got me in to big block engines. Mine holds it's tune and just works. Which is what I like. BTW, anybody know what the difference is in the Havoc versions? I have had mine since the middle of last year.
  9. The FTX tend to be IB baatteries. I use these all the time in my micros I got a Tornado 1500mAh hump pack from my LHS. Seems to work fine for me.
  10. If your TX can adjust End Points (EPA) then use another MG995 for T&B. I use these for both steering and T&B. With the EPA adjusted so that the servo tray does not flex from the torque of the servo
  11. Yes, that looks like it will charge 1 to 4 cell lipo packs (top right). How does it know what Amps to charge at? You can't charge a lipo at more than 1 x it capacity (1C). Therefore if the pack is a 1000mAh pack, you can charge up to 1000mAh NEVER above it.
  12. I have assumed your charge supplies 100mAh. If it supplies more then REDUCE the time started. Vice versa applies. RX = 12 hours (1 hour per 100mAh) TX = 7 hours (1 hour per 100mAh) Can't answer the question on the voltage. Sorry.
  13. I have a Jato & converted to pullstart. Work a treat. It does need space though..... For a big grin factor, that is pullstart, does not cost the earth and does not need a big space to run....... Buy a Rascal Cheers
  14. Cheers for the link. I have just ordered myself a brace
  15. I don't confess to be a lipo guru. I know that lipo cells have a 'C' rating. This can be 10C, 15C, 20C etc. etc. My understanding of the C rating (watch me get this wrong) is that the higher the C rating the more current (Amps) can be drawn from the battery pack. I undertstand this to mean that the higher C rating, more powerful brushless motor can be used (they have a power rating). If you are planning on using a Mamba 25 + standard 1/18 Mamba engine I don't think you will have any problems with the C rating. If you start to put together a custom setup e.g. Quark 33A Pro + high power motor, then the C rating is more critical.
  16. ^^^^^^^ totally agree with that statement. I still get the twitches charging lipo cells. I have invested in good quality GP and IB micro cell packs now. They run my brushless setup just fine.
  17. Very nice. It is definately saying 'get some dirt on me'
  18. Hi & welcome mate. 2. You don't need to cut connectors or solder any. A replacement servo will come fitted with a plug that will fit in to a RX. 3. My servos worked straight away with my 2.4GHz Spektrum system. No problems encountered. The 2.4GHz will come with it's own RX which controls the servos. 1. Most 'standard' type servos are of a similar size + or - a few mm. Some other replacement servos can have large differences in their physical makeup. The Tower Pro servo is a common metal gear replacement servo with high torque and fast speed. I have used them for steering on my MT with no problems. Cheers
  19. Does this mean FG, Rascal, Baja etc. etc. owners get preferential treatment BTW, congratulations...... Have you got your big red pen ready to write over messages
  20. If your battery packs are shaped like the Mini-T packs these are the most powerful lipo packs I know of: 7.4v 2000mAh 11.1v 2000mAh You willl need to watch the power draw from the motor and ESC as these are not high current batteries. I bought my Mamba Max from BPP. They are quick on shipping and if you order over a certain value (can't remember what it is) then shipping to the UK is free.
  21. This is a smal lipo pack. You will need to compare the size measurements against your normal battery pack. BTW, what cell config & voltage does your micro take? Cheers
  22. I have upgraded the prop shaft, shocks and heatsink to alloy. Are there any other recommended upgrades for a TT-01 as I am thinking of putting a Mamba Max in to mine.
  23. Jato Rollbar Upper Tray Support The last one is out of stock. I don't know who else in the UK stocks New Era products. I know that RCHopups are not getting any more stock in for a long time (I wanted the Jato Wing mount). New Era Models do supply to the UK, but I think their shipping is expensive.
  24. who are CBP? Got a link? Cheers
