  1. How about a 1/8 EP8 highvolt buggy, 3 month old. New brushless motor just fitted under warranty. Lots of brand new spares. Will even throw in the origional pair of lipos that came with it. 2 sets of wheels but will need new tyres as its worn them down a lot. Wicked speed, 50mph +. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BSD-RACING-EP-8-BRUSHLESS-1-8-BUGGY-FASTER-THAN-NITRO-/110459285372?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item19b7e2ef7c just like that one. If your interested I can take some pictures of the actual car and spares and email them to you.
  2. Thats a no on them then. lol Thanks for the advice guys.
  3. I thought it looked too good, they seem to be meant for helicopters but they say cars too. I know the postage gets the price up to
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-4V-5500mAh-35C-60C-2S-Li-Po-RC-R-C-LiPo-Battery-AKKU-/300462101763?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45f4efd503 Seems a good price and much higher C rating than others, but will it be any good for cars?
  5. The MT version uses a 14t pinion with a 64t spur I have seen kits for 13t,14t,15t with 53t,54t spur so I would expect there to be clearance to get that 13t to 54t. I would think you will want to go the 64t spur route with a 13t pinion with that motor. Might also want to consider http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HSP-1-10-RC-Car-Gear-Cover-Shelter-Part-03401-/180511734617?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Radio_Controlled_Vehicles&hash=item2a07567b59 to protect the spur and pinion. Also there is a hsp steel 64t spur that should work, but i havent tried one yet as i still not stripped the plastic original one yet. lol. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item2a07567c0a hope that helps
  6. gear cover 03401 hsp part that is for the brontisaraus mt and ia identicle to the strada. could only find them in HK or Austrailia. got one on order from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HSP-1-10-RC-Car-Gear-Cover-Shelter-Part-03401-/180511734617?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Radio_Controlled_Vehicles&hash=item2a07567b59
  7. doesnt it already have a slipper clutch to control wheelies? the manual mentions tightening it then backing it off 6 turns then adjusting it from there by small amounts.
  8. If this system uses the ezrun 9t motor then I have seen some of the ezrun combos with this motor and the 60a 3s esc being sold new. Could it be that the motor is able to handle 3s just if it has the 60a esc. If so you could just slap an ezrun 60a in for
  9. looking for a set of big monster truck wheels with 12mm hex fittings. similar to Mud Thracher ones. Dont know what size these are http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/amritpal_sehra/New/IMG_1779.jpg or the ones one this model http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/amritpal_sehra/New/IMG_1788.jpg but they look promising. If you have something suitable What prise per set posted?
  10. the first one is a review and discussion of whats good and bad the second is the results. credit of course goes to 19iG great review and follow up. sounds like a good truck.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item53df420890 is that them a bit cheaper
  12. Syma S107 is great to fly. Have tried a couple of others and they were just not a patch on this one.
  13. lol Do you know what scale it is and what is its wingspan? Weight would also help then I can work it out. I do have a small spitfire but that has been built so cant fir a motor in it, just need to test fly it on rubber power then paint it.
  14. Would the motor and servos in the spitfire be up to powering a Guillows balsa and tissue construction 1/14th fokker triplane or a 1/16th Stearman biplane, They are designed to be rubber powered or 0.020 and 0.049 engined respectively.
  15. Hi I have a friend with a BSD racing EP8, Have been trying to find the size and dimensions of the motor but can only find the kv rating. Also been trying to find the size and dimensions of the E-Revo brushless system motor. Anyway to the question, If he were to buy a brushed e-revo from modelsport for
  16. Ezrun 8.5t with the 60a esc runs fine with 7.2v 3300mah ni-hm for me in a maverick strada mt. Is the slash a particularly heavy car? Im sticking on the ni-hm and have just ordered a couple of 6800mah ones so i should get nice long runtimes. I will admit I need the car to be not silly fast or i just smash it up. lol. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v676/Legless335/Car%20vids/?action=view&current=A14tlipop7-1.mp4 stock 14t pinion 64t spur punch 7.
  17. blue tack mine on front between body clips and the only time it turns off is when i flip the car and the button hits the ground. Had some heavy bumps and it keeps working. Is your memory card fully inserted and secure? Mine is on a maverick strada mt fitted with brushless engine. (808 car keys micro-camera)
  18. that's an idea to think about it looks like a bowl of pot purée around the spur and pinion, had to clear it our every 5 mins. Just had a great time with 4 batteries one after the other with the 14t pinion on punch 7 started with 2 lipos then used 2 ni-hms the motor got hot but could keep finger on permanently with the lipos and was warm with the ni-hms. Just recharging all the batteries to give it a go with the 17t starting on punch 5 for a ni-hm then a lipo then switch it to punch 7 if all ok for the second pair. You just have to love the program card for changing the settings. Also had an 808 key chain cam on it. will put a couple of links in when i get some uploaded. Ran silly fast on the lipos with punch 7 and the 17t, broke the central drive shaft though i think it had some damage before i got the truck. Will stick to the ni-hm with the 17t, if i go full lipo would go back to the 14t i think.
  19. I know what you mean about the exposed spur and pinion its a dust and grass magnet, someone did say about a home built cover on another thread but i have never seen any pictures of one. I'm running with punch 5 for the acceleration atm rather than the default ESC setting of 7, trying not to kill it too quickly. I suppose not running into things at full speed might be an idea.
  20. Hi I have just installed the same ezrun 8.5t 60a system in my Maverick Strada MT, what spur and pinion gearing have you settled on, Im on 64t spur 14t pinion at the moment with a calculated 29mph with the 7.2v ni-hm pack. I do have a 17t pinion available which should boost it to a calculated 35mph but have yet to decide if its ok to fit it. Also anyone know where I could get an odd shock spring cup from, i have managed to loose one of mine.
  21. Can I ask what gearing you ended up using on your strada mt. I am just waiting for some bullet connectors to arrive to complete the installation of the ezrun 60a 8.5t combo in my strada mt. I have the stock 64t spur gear. I have a 14t pinion and a 17t pinion to try on it, but would appreciate your experiences and opinions of what to go with. Thanks had mine running today on 14t pinion 64t spur with the punch setting to 1. No wheelies but doughnuts and a respectable top speed. Calculated it to be 29mph with this gearing and 7.2 nihm. Half the time on tarmac the other half on 5cm long wet grass and the motor was still cool as was the esc, battery was slightly warm. Im pretty sure it will be safe to up it to 17t pinion (35mph) but will be having a few runs with the 14t and try upping the punch a few settings to get popping wheelies first. Do have a heat-sink for the motor but no room for it with the 14t pinion as the motor body is very close to the drive shaft, but it doesn't need it.
  22. Great review thanks. I have one of these combos on the way from Hk to be fitted in my battered old Maverick Strada MT. Gunna try it on stock gearing first then if it feels to have the power up it to a 17 tooth pinion to get some extra speed. I know this is an old review but it deserves to be brought to current attention as it is very useful.
