  1. I wouldn't bother with the ford/mazda. A neighbour had a ranger which seemed to get towed away monthly. The local estate have two rangers too which I hear have been a lot of bother. The hilux really is the winner followed by the L200
  2. Can you link to the savage in kit form please? To be fair HPI is also over priced RTR
  3. I never did and still don't understand the lunchbox
  4. Doing 50K+ a year I can honestly say it's very rare. The amount of stupid drivers these days is unreal and sadly I get to see a fair share of them. The tea time rush hours are the best no matter were I am in the country, I would say at least 30% of drivers are texting or making phone calls on the drive home (they stand out). It's the opposite on the morning commutes, most are drinking costa coffess etc (whos idea was the drive through anyway, big thumbs up). As for the motorway, you get one half who do 80mph+ and tailgate everyone and the other half who think it's fine to ponder down the middle lane at 60mph even though the next car is a mile plus down the road and going faster than them No one cares anymore and all the police want is ANPR or people speeding, nice easy money...
  5. I thought you would 'wonder'
  6. He bought it from stevie

    oops!

I hate costly mistakes like this, I plugged in my hump pack the wrong way round the other day .. Suprising how much smoke comes off these things
  8. A couple more jobs done. Time is limited now so I won't get much done for the next 2 weeks, I will be looking into how to paint my shell and what colour soon Bumpers marked up and fitted along with the mud flaps. Not sure what to do with the tabs on the rear of the body?
  9. Something similar happened to me when I bought a motor from hobbyking. Killed my esc the first time I switched it on. Suprisingly the motor had a small bit of metal in it despite being brand new and shorted out
  10. My next job is to sort out these drive shafts which are now silly short. Fit the bumpers and some how try to straighten one of the rock sliders. Has it currently stands
  11. Big headache with the shocks and it seems no one wants to help despite it being brand new, extremely dissapointed to be honest. Even the second one I bought as garbage shocks so I've ordered the tamiya o rings to try and save them before I buy some proline or Gmade. I bought a D90 shell without doing any homework and if I knew it was this much hassle I would have just bought a Gelande 2. It would have been cheaper and easier lol. First job was to sort some links to shorten the wheelbase (thanks gaz) But that meant I needed a new servo mount The problem was, with the shorter wheelbase my servo would not fit. The cables fouled the shock brace no matter what I did or what servo I used That meant removing the shock brace and securing the shock towers with m3 bolts so my servo now fits The next problem I had was the new servo plate was hitting the receiver box giving me very little flex. This started the next job of moving the battery and receiver box. The battery is now upfront (sideways on) and the receiver box at the back. The receiver box is just attatched to the rear shock support using the old servo mount as shown below. Battery mounting

    Please close. Sorted as above
  13. Savage, the only car I've not got bored of 5 years on. Even my 1:1 cars don't last a year

    SCX10

It all depends on condition and spec. Fire me a pm with what you've got in mind and we can go from there?
  15. Me too. I did try it and it seemed slow and laggy. I thought it was the esc punch but now I have the program card I know it isn't that. Would the motor timing affect it?
  16. Eh? I sent you a pm and replied here on the 24th saying I would have them but had no reply? You even bumped it since?
  17. This is has it came to me from logicpaul, I have used it twice for around 5 minutes each time. I don't know why the slipper is done all the way up but I will look in the manual for how to set it up. He fitted new pads before selling it so I can't see them being burnt out? I will check them later. Any other ideas while the gearbox is out? Thanks
