Won't be going mad, engine is barely run in and it needs tuning. That's if it even starts, nitro could of gone off. Hammering down with rain right now so it will be a messy one tomorrow if we make it out.

Not found anything. Cleaned everything, inspected all gears, bearings, shafts, case. All looks fine. I will rebuild it and hopefully try it tomorrow, weather depending.

It's official, I'm stupid! Ordered the wrong gear

It has easy access case so only a few screws to check it. I'll be doing just that. When I bought the complete transmission, new, unused from a split Savage X. I changed a couple of bits, disc pads, HD outdrive and shimmed the play out of one of shafts. Might remove that shim if I find nothing else.

Exactly! Like I said, it's barely been run in. So the running it seen was fairly gentle. So if I can't see anything else wrong, I won't be filled with confidence when I next come to run it.

I am aware of that, scratch build wouldn't be an option if I was that inpatient mate. I don't mind taking my time. Thanks, I will have to go through this thread as I see it it's V2 8s now!

Will do Sort of hope to find something wrong so I can say, "that did it" fix it and it doesn't happen again!

It's a fun truck! I've loved every minute of being a Savage owner. New gear has arrived so I will crack on with it Thursday evening.

I don't know how it happened? Engine moving wouldn't affect it. Nothing should be causing the gears to come out of alignment inside the transmission/gearbox. Unless a shaft is bent, case is cracked or something was in there and got caught in the gears and the plastic one got chewed?... I'm a little miffed as everything was brand new and I have only broken in the engine. No hard running, no jumps, tip overs, flips, nothing. Like I said, I will check all other gears, shafts, case etc for damage. If everything looks ok I will rebuild and see what happens.

Thanks, my time wasn't wasted getting all the images sorted New 1st gear ordered, should be here in the next couple of days. I'll fully remove the gearbox and get it all cleaned up and check for any damage etc..

Agreed, nice and simple to navigate. Need to find memory cards with lastest images on as they were on the iMac, that got sold. Engine not even fully ran in and 1st gear is stripped
