  1. Yeah I think the country got its tamiya delivery about two weeks ago. Up until then, no one had stock, but in general very easy to get hold of.
  2. If its just for the kids, it's gonna give em a lot of fun. Quick enough and other than a front shock, mines been indestructible. I've just changed mine to brushless, oil shocks and better steering rods. Considering its 23yrs old, its doing pretty well.

Yeah I realised you wouldn't get a prod, then forgot to quote you on the last message too. I'm actually after some decals if you fancy doing swapsies on the stickers you have in the FS section? I think you're localish, I could drive over and do a contactless exchange if you want, save wasting postage. PM if you want to exchange, let me know your addy and mobile so we can sort something for the weekend.

Are you interested fella? If not I'll bang it in the general sale area, then fleabay if no interest on here.

H8e = hyper 8 electric? I bought a couple for some h7 conversions but so far have only done one. Here's some photos of it sitting on a hyper 7 chassis, any other photos, let me know.

    Would a absima h8e work?
  8. Yeah the pbs just gives you toe adjustments I guess so mildly useful. Mines running some land rover shell I picked up a while back. Its the only one I could find to fit the extended chassis with going down the truggy shell route. Not pretty but works. If you search frankenhyper on here theres a couple of pics/vids. I'll get some photos when I get home and you can decide if you want any bits. Got some alloy/carbon bits as well that may interest.
  9. Let me have a look later, I've got 2 conversions in bits so can certainly do some of the mechanical bits. My on road is based on the L chassis for longer w/Base, very stable with hub extenders as well. Have you thought about pbs for the rear? It gives a lot more tuning options for the rear wheels.
  10. Yep, had a few like that, too far gone even for stars to work. I hate cutting into chassis but sometimes no other option. Yeah do let us know if you find some good ones, I got two conversions still to start and all the c/s chassis bolts look knackered. ?
  11. Decent star driver hammered in to the bolt and pliers on top is the quickest method I've found. Gave up wrecking hex drivers on seized diff posts. If you find a supply of decent replacement c/s bolts, let me know.
  12. In that case, I have some hpi dirtbonz mounted on blue spoked deepdish wheels. Paint showing it's age but tyres and tread look okay. Let me know if you want pics or not interested or need measurements etc. Can't upload on here, probably size (error 200) and can't remember which image site I use post-photobucket but can sort some pics if they sound mildly interesting.
  13. Were any of the emails read? If not, it's unlikely your email has been hacked. A lot a sites require clicking an activation link so they'd need your email to actually get the accounts running. By the numbers you quote it's obviously a reasonably tenacious blackhat using automated tools to confuse the situation with huge amounts of traffic. The more emails, the less likely someone is to find the important ones, ie. moneygram etc. and do something about them. Chances are there will be no effect to you, other than the hassle. Anyone can do this simply by guessing an email address or just using one they saw somewhere. We were doing this decades ago with freephone numbers for ordering catalogues to our mate's houses.... Hopefully you'll not receive any serious trouble from this but it's going to be a pain for a while.
  14. Looking good, when's the first dirt run? Just a tip, careful how much you post, it could get you banned for reasons unknown to anyone.
  15. I would try and help but who knows, I might get banned for it.
  16. If a forum doesn't have any members/contributors, it doesn't need mods. Is there a lesson in there somewhere for the silent few?

And this is the issue I have. You just changed it and did not give him a warning, fine. So when I posted on someones for saled telling them they can't ask for paypal gift, what would your action have been?

Yeah, if only they could give us a good answer some of the good members already here might stop running away.

  17. My respect for some people on here has gone right down.

What has happened? Anything in particular?

  18. I think I'm using 30mm extensions on my on road hyper but then that doesn't take a lot of abuse. Only problem is the wheel nuts need threadloc as mine aren't lock nut style. I've had 20mm extensions on an old hyper off road as well and never had any problems. Presumably they add stress to the axles but what's the worst that's going to happen!! Ime, those specific components are strong enough to take it. These are mine I believe: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4Pcs-Aluminum-17mm-Wheel-Hex-Hub-Extension-Adapter-For-1-8-Scale-RC-Car/322547298291?hash=item4b19512ff3:g:ieYAAOSwSplZgS8W
  19. Well isn't that a pretty little ornament! Now, can I justify one.......................... nope
  20. Dont forget a charger. You'll need something like an overlander rc6 level. Not the quickest but capable enough for something around a 4s 5000mah lipo.
  21. No that's my bad, I thought you meant pinion teeth, I realise now you meant turns. Sorry, didn't meant to confuse you. I'd literally just finished swapping from a 18t pinion to 21t pinion on my hyper so presumed it was the same.
  22. No Escape currently on, late notice but excellent film. Edge of seat stuff imho.

  23. Good luck with that! Seriously though, be interested to see how it handles stronger winds, depending on the profiles it might do okay.
  24. Going from 15t to 21t should be quite a noticeable difference. However you got it the wrong way round, the 21t will have a higher top speed but less acceleration than a 15t. Turns man, turns, not teeth!
