  1. I have a leopard in my other hyper and can agree it's much fun, even on 4s. If it's that one at 35 currently, it could be okay depending on how high it goes. There's a few on there at £85 but I think that's a bit high tbh. I paid less than that for my last one a few months back and that had spider diff, cnc towers, graphite radio tray, two shells and ally braces. Basically way upgraded compared to the one's on there bog standard, basic shocks etc. Maybe it's summer pricing, I don't know. Upto about £65 is reasonable for a standard, clean example.
  2. There's a few obvious differences like the pbs and pro models, less obvious such as shock sizes on others but generally all the same. The later the better IMHO if ur looking for used then upgrade to your hearts content. Plenty of choice of motor/esc, start with 4s and go up to 6 if u wish for insanity. If just bashing, 4s should do you for now but get the electrics for 6s now if u think u might want stoopid speed. Conversion kits seem to be absima available at the moment with a losi battery tray. Fake castle motors seem to be on trend but few others out there such as leopard or tenshock will make it go quick enough.
  3. Legally its coming later. Purely voluntary for now. Plus its only really the big brands that have implemented it. Plenty of smaller multis not even capable of it.
  4. Anyone got one not being used. Mullered mine trying to remove the input shaft and bearings so just need that half ideally. Wot u got?
  5. Whats the sweet spot for a 1900kv turnigy bl can in a h7, 4s 5000mah? Got a 19t on there but doesnt appear that fast on the bench. Worth going up one or more teeth? Waiting on new diff housing so not fully tested yet.

..even now with the 1950kv tenshock on same gearing is nuts fast on 6s:yes:

Yeah you need more volts or more kv :)

Saying that 19t is the recommended pinion for 2200-2650 so maybe a 21t or something on the 1900kv? Just keep an eye on temps I guess.

Thanks for the input. Gonna at least try a 21t but will keep an eye on the temps. Happy with 4s for now but it just appears a bit sluggish. We shall see when its all back together.

  6. Well there is a press release on the. Gov site stating registration is coming along with safety tests so it appears a bit more advanced than you're making out. Geofencing is further off but they're currently looking at how the new rules will be implemented. Probably to avoid the mess the US got into with their scheme. I agree that it wont be the end of the hobby but it might put some people off and therefore shrink the market and choices available.
  7. Nice. But waaaaayy too much time on your hands!
  8. I can't watch that, this is a picture thread. This is no place for videos........
  9. Yeah saw that earlier. I wonder if that means my planes will need to be numbered too, I dont think they separate them. Good luck geofencing the planes.... Seriously though, this is so flawed it will only cover the responsible owners and do nothing to the airport encroachers. Not once have they actually had physical contact with the drones involved in near misses so how would a little reg number help them there.
  10. Can u get two speed leccy pinions? I have a h7 two speed centre diff but not seen pinions to run it. Not that I intend too, just wondering.
  11. Its nice enough, good quality and colourful but still just a couple of rods pulling the levers in the diff housing. I just wouldnt expect to see a difference vs a properly tuned standard.
  12. Tbh, a linkage wont do much if anything. Both standard and dynamite are just rods which if tuned properly will apply the same pressure on the brakes. The dynamite is easier to tune with the thumb screws but cant see it providing any extra force. I might be wrong.
  13. Why the dynamiteeheehee linkage? For the tuning by thumb screws? Got a standard linkage (which I nearly chucked in with the discs) but looks like I got rid of my dynamite setup.
  14. Its a.couple of jets running it is it, rather than leccy? Presume the backpack is either a parachute or fuel cell. Give it 12mths and hobbyking will sell you the kit........
  15. Thanks for the offer but I've just got to first flight stage last night. I bought an illuminati32 (against advice) and cant get the bootloader to flash even after using an older cleanflight (in Chinese) but can now arm and get a response from tx. If u can find a solution to that it would really help but everything I've found assumes flashing the fw is simples. Gonna try it factory tonight and order a new naze board for when I crash and break this fc! Sorry for spamming another thread OHO.
  16. As I say it might be the kit, I was advised to go elsewhere but... My issue is communicating with it, drivers, bootloaders, firmware versions etc. If u cant sort that it sits there flashing at you innocently while your temper rises. Give me battery to esc to motor anyday!
  17. Having struggled somewhat to build one from scratch, I can see the appeal of rtf. Maybe the kit I chose but have seriously considered shelving it and going rtf a number of times! Its the fc thats doing my head in but it shouldn't be this hard.
  18. Do you mean the shock standoff? No you don't, my bad, which end, top is the shock cap bottom is errrr......

Can you imagine meeting that on a narrow country road :o it will just go straight over you try explaining that to the police and insurance company

That's if you even realised what was happening. "Don't worry we'll be on time it's just at the......WTF was that????" :o

  19. You'll need to solder a connector on to match whatever the battery comes with. Have you got the lipo already (I'm too lazy to read back) as it will be easier to match it to that rather than having to desolder the battery aswell if use a different type. I used bullets for the battery on mine, like your three motor wires only bigger.
  20. Just take it apart, take photos along the way so you know how it looked, write down how things go together if it helps. Key bits are the drivetrain - motor and diffs, steering, and suspension. Google those bits with M-05 in the title and you'll get plenty of photos and probably threads about the bits. The first car I bought, I didn't touch it, kept taking it back to the shop to sort it - bad move, learnt nothing. So I took it apart completely. I'd bought an old/defunct model so couldn't get bits for it. Still got some of the bits including the original shell. Then bought a new model, did some research and stripped it to the last screw. with the research and making a note of how things went together, I got it back in one piece in a better condition than I got it. There's always people on here that will help you out should you get stuck. Good luck.
  21. Even registration has its flaws. How do u make sure something can be tracked back to its real owner. Codes could be cloned, 2nd hand sales not re-registered etc. Short of banning all model flight theres little that can be done. With pilots using fpv from miles away, good luck tracing the pilot. Someone will always be able to bypass the rules in the same way theres always idiots willing to fly near airports. I would guess there's a lot of fpv pilots already breaking the law in regards a spotter and los!

I know what everyone is saying but there needs to be some perspective. What he did wasn't that dangerous, it could have been, but wasn't. I fully believe vetel knew what he was doing when he bumped wheels. He didn't sideswipe into the body of the merc but yes it still could have caused a serious accident, but didn't. He needed a dressing down, he got that and will hopefully remember it each time he serves his community service. So we'll discuss it again in 12mths time when he does something childish again.........

Hmmm, probably the fairest outcome. Bit toothless for them to keep 'investigating' then letting him get away with an apology but at the same time I didn't believe there should have been extra sanctions. Any normal race and the stop-go would have been enough to penalise vettel properly.
  24. drone schmone, they should mount one of these on the roof:
