  1. Ok so if the st4 has similarly geared diffs and a 50 ish t spur it could be in a similar ball park, bar the tyres as the ones I listed above are biiig. Will see what I can find out for comparison.
  2. Its an mt with a non standard centre diff, it`ll be run offroad, prob not wanting to go over 40 ish, but want wheelies on demand, but maybe not standing backflips initially, might volt up for that.

    RC storage?

Maybe you could put the vehicles into plastic tubs with lids and have some silica gel sachets or packs in the boxes to absorb any moisture that is on the rc when its put away etc. Might cost a few
  4. Hi, I`m after some help working out a starting point for a pinion gear for a custom brushless project. So far this is the info: Diff ratio: 3.31:1 Tyre circumference: 560mm Spur: 50T 14.8v+ Motor options 1650kv, 2000kv, 2200kv, 2350kv On every other bl conversion I`ve done, I`ve cheated on the gearing, as they`ve all been common like hypers and truggies so plenty of info on what pinions people are using as a guide. But this is a bit more in depth and I`m struggling. Google brings up speed calculators, and ways to calculate the actual gear ratio adding all the elements together, but I can`t find out how to work out a starting point without guessing wildly and just tuning by temp with tons of pinions.... If anyone could either point me in the right direction of the info that`d help me work it out myself, or take a moment to explain what to do, I`d be very grateful. Cheers
  5. Little bash with brushless eb4 s3
  6. Vid of a little bash from the other day
  7. Go on, I`ll have one, I`ve a nip st shell stashed and a few used, but the bulldog looks good and I`m a sucker for wheels and shells.
  8. I think I`m on 25/64 too, with an aftershock forward only transmission and 4s and am very happy with the gearing.
  9. So now I have a 2000kv motor freshly relieved of duty! I like the eb4 s3 on 3s, it less of a tank than the hyper8 and fast enough, but should I drop in the ripper, change the esc and go 4s ......
  10. So had the mt4 apart again, on my last diff casing now, the st1 roller is just a chassis and a box of bits now. On the upside, whilst the tools were out, I fitted the Leopard 4282 I got from MyDoddy. Still on a 12t at mo til I can get a 14. It's a tight fit Bloody tight Also had a chat with Chris of azrockcrawler.com and have a few goodies on their way from him. Will try to be a bit more gentle with it til the upgrades arrive....I did say try.... Had a buggy bash on tues in the icy sunshine, was great fun, and while the eb4 s3 held up great, I bounced it off the van a couple of times, unintentionally, the caster ex1.5r that I've had for almost two year and never run, got christened.... Had my plastic Argos ramp out and the first time off, it landed hard and became unresponsive. Crap!!! Turned out the cc mamba monster esc case had opened on impact and the esc and upper case moved, taking up any slack in the rx wire and then pulling it off the board!!! Thankfully I've found somewhere to repair it. Had the gopro on too so will roughly edit the footage an throw that up soon as I can. Got a few little bits and bobs arriving soon, also found a pair of wheels to replace the busted one on the Lst2, they're even yellow
  11. Try putting it back together, getting it meshed spot on and try it in a bit more space with normal throttle to move away.
  12. As title, bought it without checking measurements, to see if it`d go on one of my buggies, but its too narrow for me. Includes the window masks and complete sticker sheet, packet has been opened to check whether it`d fit. Measured from underneath the shell is 390mm long and where it widens at the front 160mm up to 165 at the widest part before it narrows back in. Will accept
  13. No, it`ll go in at the same time I do the latest repairs to the front diff housing. maybe tomorrow eve. Looking forward to the new oompf!!
  14. Ok, might be a couple of hours, but I`ll try to get some pics sorted for you tonight.
  15. No worries hols sound nice, could well do with a nice holiday.......
  16. Ah I see where your coming from, but its shaped around the ears, so only mounts on the shock tower, the first time it bent the shock tower too, just above the ears. Your still right though about the path of the force and the weakest point I think, also the top stay from the bumper mounts through the shock tower, so a nose down hit will also transfer impact forces straight into the shock tower, and with the top braced, the tower cant flex, so the ears prob take the brunt of that too.. So something to absorb, or spread that force so its shared between more contact points ..... One of these days I`ll get more than one pack through them without breaking anything, and I`ll come home, the Mrs will say `how`d it go, you were longer than I expected?` and I`ll get to say, `yeah well I ran out of batteries and I didn`t break every truck I had out`..... Kristian, it might not help, but I`ve got a nice aftershock roller, boxed, in the attic......
