  1. HAS MOVED TO IRELAND

  2. Well i can only speak of my experiences of savages and tmaxxs. The savage chassis etc seems to slot together so needs quite a few more screws removing before it starts to come apart. Whereas my tmaxx now that i do find easy! Ive done a complete strip down and rebuild in 2 hours. When i say complete i mean every single part including diffs & bearings were taken apart, cleaned, dried, regreased, locktited and put back together! Was fun to do and very simple! Also i just find that with the tmaxx everything is easy to get at! I changed the Center CVDS in 15 mins and that requires removing skid plates etc. Oh and one other thing i had the gearbox apart too and just like the savage its 100% metal bar the outside casing! Oh and just so you know i have my Tmaxx for sale! :P :P
  3. ok i had one of these! The following is what i done Full ballrace 13X3 motor (max revs 38krpm) Carbon driveshaft Carbon gearshafts LRP ESC (helps as lower electric resistance & allows for any motor) I personally cant see a need for brushless as the setup i had was around the 30-35mph mark! Also the speed tuned gear set gives u top end but you lose a lot of the bottom end! Plus i found my motor got far too hot to be worth using it! oh and just anotther thought if you still have the original suspension mounts you will need to get an antiroll bar for it! These things do wobble under power and braking!
  4. certain packs that are rated to be charged at that are fine but i dont suggest it for non-rated ones. I charged a 1400mah @ 5A and lets say it didnt look good, melted the case and aired the cells so it was dead. Basically by charging a battery rated to 2a @ 5a will create serious heat, ruin the cells within 50 or less charges, possibly cause a fire, explode the list goes on! So yeah best bet keep to the rated amps. hope that helps

    Paint

it wouldnt stay put for too long & could dry out and then crack!
  6. it could just be a simple allignment issue. as its a new engine it could need to be aligned properly. It could also be the servo horn or linkages. Worst is that the carb is just tight!
  7. ah sorry bout that! lmao! & thanks carl for sorting the right link out!

  12. still for sale! Will take offers on it all now no matter how silly you think it is! I just cant bare to see this sitting around doing nothing anymore. Started it again yesterday and fired into action almost straight away (had to clear the ARO i put in and then it was off!) Engine running sweet and everything working as should be!

  14. Have you checked the seals for the carb? the HSN & fuel inlet. Have you also checked to make sure the backplate is sealing properly? Check the cooling head/button is sealing right? Last but not least check your fuel lines. If these get a small split in them then they can cause this issue! Also as a secondary thing i would check to make sure your tanks not leaking and pouring fuel over the engine! If its none of them then im stumpped lol but let us know how you get on!
  15. Pm replied! This lot is still for sale! Would deliver within 50 miles of Dartford, Kent or Woking Surrey for

  19. hmm well 270 is considered the absolute maximum so if its hitting 280 then its running a bit lean! Try richening it a little to see if that helps drop the temps slightly. I would also ask how old is the fuel you are using? What plug you using? What conditions are you using it in? EG: short grass, long grass, tarmac etc also another thing worthwhile checking if its been left to sit is the condition of your fuel lines & if there are any air leaks. These will contribute to higher temps!
  20. its cable ties that have been put through a little bit of fuel tube! Supposed to protect the head! Done naff all on my tmaxx.
