I am running these all round on the arm ends for the hub carriers already with positive results (as long as you don't do them up too tight ) https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/68184 And I'm going to run these on the inner arm / suspension braces-holders sometime soon: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/109848 Tower hobbies Edited February 20, 2015 by dazp1976
stevo2551
They seem like a good upgrade to get, doesn't say a price though, they'll fit your truggy, but would they fit the buggy too? I'm yet to come across any issues with my e clips at the moment and it's bin in peices and back together quite a lot recently. But watch this now I've said that, I'm off out for a bash...probably need some later haha. I have come across a good way to set the droop on mine instead of using screws and damaging chassis. I used the small bush/plastic bearing/spacer from the two posts that the servo saver goes onto after I upgraded to bearings. I put a ring of superglue around it and stuck it to the underside of the bottom arm right into the corners so it can't move and slip. Works well on Mine :-D

I've just ordered these to try out: 2 sets of these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDBWH 2 sets of these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDBWK The bottom ones are loads cheaper than the 68184 outer threaded. Might be a little bit longer but I can just put some kind of washer/spacer under the nut to get a good fit All in (inc del) came to Edited February 20, 2015 by dazp1976
stevo2551
Yeah I'm in England but wish I wasn't sometimes haha just been out, 45min to balance, 2mins drive, and 10 mins on foot to my bash spot...5mins playing and the heavens opened! I really am impressed at the difference since doing all three diffs. I have a couple of spare clips in my box of goodies for the inevitable, but let us know how you get on with those fitment wise. I'd imagine if they fit the truggy they'll fit the buggy?

I'd imagine if they fit the truggy they'll fit the buggy? Truggy and buggy use the same braces / hubs / carriers so they will fit both if they actually do fit. When I get them I'll post a photo of how they look. Hopefully they're sweet. I know for a fact that the threaded 68184 fit both ends just thought I'd try and find something even cheaper (I'm tight like that )
Trophy1811
To hazard a guess on 4x AA rechargeable batteries: If a servo uses say 350mah and receiver 100mah then 2 servos and a receiver will use 800mah combined so to run for say 2 hours solid you would need 1600mah or higher. However like I said before servos won't be as strong on 4.8v. So, however many tanks you can use in say 1hr 45 mins solid then that is the ballpark depending on your servos power consumption. I think 350mah is about right if not a little high I man to get about 5 and a half tanks with a brand new set of aa
dazp1976
I man to get about 5 and a half tanks with a brand new set of aa I thought you may have gotten more than that. Was that about an hours running or so? for future reference.

dazp1976
I was going to get the flux but got nitro instead I think you made a wise choice. The flux needs a lot more upgrading for reliability. The silly amount of off the line power brushless produces rips the drivetrain to bits!!!!!! I also don't rate the stock system that comes with it, definitely not on grassy surfaces. My neighborhood frowned a little with my nitro one.

chrisp
I got savox sc-0252mg on mine. Digital high torque high speed servo from PBM racing in Nottingham. Once fitted noticed a big big difference. Cost
dazp1976
I've noticed that a lot of people rate the Savox servo's. I got a good price on a HPI SF-50 and so far no issues after 5 months (touch wood) It isn't massively fast but plenty of torque.
