As the title really....

just wondering whos running on road, and where about are people from??

also, ive tore through 3 sets of tires over the last 3/4 month's.... 2 onroad drift sets and one set of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260613972830?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

the above lasted the longest, but did require me to modify one of my shells in order to get them on. due to the profile of the tyre.

when buying tyres to last.... is there a particular compound thats stronger than others?? style or grip?? or is it all down driving style.....

i ask as i have some new rims, just waiting for some new rubber... an am debating what to buy.... any suggestions welcome??

thanks, steve

What about these mate http://www.modelspor...-products/13672, reasonably cheap and have had a couple of good reviews also they are meant to last for quite a while overall a good tyre, grippy but durable aswell.

Hope I helped

Nick

cheers nick!! much appreciated - will invest in a set, and feed back results - £6 aint gonna break the bank! roll on payday

hmmm just had an idea- trying a differnet set each time, untill i find the most reliable/durable etc... etc... and may keep a tyres review log book :xd:

No need mate he said he has already got a new set of rims, also all wheels have a different offset so he would have to check his before he bought a new set of wheels, doesn't matter if he is just buying tyres.

Shiney

although as mentioned - i have about 4 sets of different rim's.... but per use they getting tattier and tattier.... gonna keep a set for scragging around with, and maybe keep a prestine show set :whistling:

@ mainie - electric tape over wheels = a bit of fun.... just dont over rev the engine for too long or you'll end up with a knackard clutch

much more effective on a 1:10 scale however :sweatdrop:

Wheel offset is the additional distance from the center of the wheel to the inside part of the wheel called the hex (the bit that attaches the wheel to the axel). If say you have a wheel which has has a 2mm wheel offset, the wheel would extend 2mm out from the cars body, so the car would be wider, if you wanted to make the car beefier then you would increase the offset.

Just stick with zero offset and you will be fine as thats what your car uses, go buy them shiney purple wheels!!!

Nick
