Yes, the traxxas ez start

If you liked your mates TRX4 then i would suggest going with that as it already comes with some of features your looking for and others may be able to be added later To be fair im not sure what else is out there in kit form

To be fair I can’t now find the Sherpa as a kit, only RTR, but I’m sure you used to be able to get it.

I already have a Sendero HD which is a really great truck, I totally rate Element - however it doesn’t have the 2 speed or remote locking diffs that I crave… Krystal is built on an HPI Venture chassis kit, which I really can’t fault - but is a similar driving experience to the Sendero, being single speed and permanently locked diffs. Think I’m just looking for a technically decent build with some new features I’ve not had before, and a different driving experience when it’s finished.

Are you using electric starts on the others?

Ahh it used to be the sport that came as a kit AJ just did an Ecto build and he thinks its really good

I built these two up for my Daughters to use last year, but in the end, they decided they would have more fun with Lunchboxes, so decided to sell these two. Started as a TT-02d but built up in the higher ground clearance options. They are both identical apart from the body colour. The hops included are: Tamiya GT Tuned motor. Tamiya alloy blue center shaft and cups. Tamiya carbon rear body post supports. 55mm Tamiya CVA's (instead of the 50mm kit one, that are also included). Steel pinion. Fully ballraced. Tamiya 54550 Low Friction Step Screw for smoother steering. Steering turnbuckles. Tamiya Ford Focus wheels with Rally tires. Includes 1060 esc and steering servo. (NO RECEIVER is included). The TRX4 sport is a kit but not sure what features it comes with and im pretty sure you can add features to them

No it was completely stock. I really do want a kit though not a RTR, and one with “features”.

Have you had a look at the news pages as theres been a few new crawlers announced and spec wise they seem pretty decent Your mates TRX4 has it been modded at all ? Ive modded mine a bit with low down brass parts like brass portal covers etc

I really fancy a new kit to build, something meaty and interesting and having had my first ever play with my mates TRX4 today am rather taken with the idea of locking diffs, 2 speed, maybe dig? All things I’ve never had in a truck before. Not been paying much attention for the last couple of years, so what’s available and what is worth it? Most of all, what’s a quality kit to build and a great car to drive?

Really really well, she’s come a long way. Both my mates had a good long play too and we’re both really surprised about how good she is considering her Tonka roots. A great success. Really surprisingly capable considering her small wheels, long overhangs, low clearances and ridiculous weight 😂

Hmmm but why does this not happen on my other nitros

Drove it, rolled it, crashed it, soaked it, got it stuck, winched it out, lent it out and had a blast. First proper RC day out I’ve had in a couple of years, took Krystal out to play in the SST quarry and had an absolutely fabulous time - it’s really reminded exactly what I love about this hobby.

If the exhaust is blocked then some of the atomised air/fuel mixture will be forced out the carb due to the crank creating positive pressure as the exhaust port is blocked.

Plugging the exhaust to get fuel through the lines. No not brand new. Not trying to start it here just showing you the fact that it's spitting fuel from the filter, otherwise you can't see it. My other nitros don't do this

Why are you trying to start it without the air filter on?

What is hold down the exhaust mean? Is this brand new?

Hey all, Just got this tmaxx and the carb is spitting when I hold down the exhaust and turn it over. Here is a video: Im pretty sure it's not supposed to do this. Is the carb ****ed or something else? Thanks.
