  1. It all depends on how you drive it. I've had mine since the beginning of the year, and so far so good. It's been bounced up kerbs, cartwheeling after jumps, and it still goes. Dave
  2. Yes, just check the technical information when looking for a brushless Motor and ESC combo. Most say they accept 6-8 cell NiMH. I've been running both of my RC's on 4700mah and 5000mah NiMH for a few years now. I know the advantages to LiPo, but I'm happy with these. HTH Dave
  3. I don't see how mobile phones would affect the signal. I know wireless routers run on 2.4ghz, but mine normally overrides the strength of the router. This is the system Modelsport sent as a replacement: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-cr2s-v2-2-channel-2.4ghzradio-control-system/rc-car-products/376271 Can't fault it. Nice bit of kit for the price. Hope you get it sorted! Dave
  4. Did you buy it new? Mine behaved the same as this when i bought it. Apparently it's the radio/receiver and it's a common fault. Mine was bought from Modelsport. I sent them an email and they sent out a replacement set. No problems since. HTH Dave
  5. As above, the cooling trays for laptops are pretty useless. I have a Compaq laptop, and I can get the CPU to 75-80c without much load. For the dongle, I have one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-WN821N-300Mbps-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B00194XKXA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407838308&sr=8-2&keywords=tp+link+usb I've had it for over a year so far, and hasn't once lost connection. I use my PC for gaming and youtube etc, which i know uses a fair bit of bandwidth. Also, my router's range is a bit crap, so I bought a 5m USB extension lead so I can have the USB adapter closer to it. Plus it's much easier to fit HTH Dave

  7. Hi. You may have jumped teeth on the servo causing it to turn, try adjusting the steering trim and see if that helps. You can adjust camber on the front and rear using a 4mm spanner (I think). The rear does have a bit of toe-in from factory to help with cornering, but this can't be adjusted I'm afraid. HTH Dave
  8. Looking good. The speed tuned gears make a massive difference. You could do with an aerial straw though Dave
  9. Thanks to insanejim69 on page 151, i bought a Team Losi 22 rear wing. I currently have the rear shocks on the highest mount, so it didn't require any trimming - only 2 holes for the mount. The wing seems to be of much better quality plastic. And a lot more sturdy. Should i leave it clear or paint it white? Stickers will be applied to either. (I have some white spare from my last bodyshell). Thanks Dave
  10. A 17t .6 mod pinion for my FTX Vantage. Dave
  11. Hi all. Got myself a temp gun. Are these temperatures okay? Motor: 57
  12. Has anyone got an alternative rear spoiler fitted to their FTX Vantage? The standard one is terrible! Thanks Dave
  13. I'm sure theres a sensitivity dial on the standard radio, so you can limit the throttle. (Next to the steering trim). HTH Dave Edit: As above, I wasn't quick enough haha
