Hi, i have recently bought a Traxxas Rustler VXL Brushless (upgraded from the FTX Carnage Brushless). Oh my god, what a car, really happy with it. Am thinking about buying a new charger to go with it. I don’t know much about setting up chargers for LiPo or NIMH, i just like to charge batteries and Bash the cars. I am considering the Traxxas chargers as they have ID setup, so you just plug the battery in and the charger will automatically set up for charging. I haven’t got a huge budget, probably up to 100.00. I have seen the Traxxas dual charger 8 amp, so it will charge each at 4 amp if charging 2 at once, that charger i can get for 80.00. Or i can get a Traxxas single charger with bluetooth. It’s a 12 amp charger and costs 95.00. Is it worth going for the Bluetooth, or getting one that does 2 batteries??? How quick will a NIMH battery charge at 4amp or 8 amp? What does the Bluetooth even do?

Firestorm was one I was considering but thought the Rustler looked like more fun. I don't mind doing some upgrades a bit down the line, as long as it's easy enough to do. Plus I always here good thing about Traxxas, so would be more likely to get one of those

Have been looking at getting a 2nd RC car. Am now considering a Traxxas Rustler. I'm looking for a car which will be fast and strong, as i want to just use it straight out of the box and not have to do any upgrades etc. I'm currently using a FTX carnage brushless on 2S Lipo, so goes just under 30MPH. What speed will the Rustler do straight from the box? Does anyone own one of these? What is handling like? I was considering a 1/16 Traxxas E-Revo, but after looking into it i found it spent most of its time rolling (not what i want). I just really want to know what i could expect from the Rustler.

Ahhh, I didn't know that. Maybe the hyper will be better then as it gives me the option to make it faster in the future if I want

I love the way the HPI trophy looks but will need to research it a bit. The hyper looks good but bit concerned that it may be a bit quick as it's a 6s lipo. I'm just thinking I would prob never get up to that sort of speed. So I will check the handling etc of the HPI

I'm getting really temped by this Hyper VS now. I currently have 2 Lipo 2 batteries for my FTX. So i can put both of these into the Hyper? And the Hyper Weill go faster than my FTX and handle better?

Is the Hyper VS a decent one? Is it strong, or am i going to need to keep fixing it like i do on the Carnage? What battery does it come with? What is the advantage of going for a 4S lipo? I have only ever run a 2S lipo

The difficult part is that everyone has their own opinion on what is the best car to get. Too many options

350 is my budget. I cant sell the FTX, my wife bought me it 3 years ago for xmas, if i say to her i am selling it, i will be divorced or killed (either way, not good) I currently have an Outlander charger. It charges all batteries, but the lipo ports are wearing out. It was only 50.00. Looking at another outlander charger which will charge 2 lipo batteries at the same time, that's about 80.00

So you would say to stick with a 1/10 scale. I really haven't got room for anything bigger. I have a big carry case which should hold 2 of the 1/10 scale cars, but i just wouldn't have room for a 1/8
