Madmini
Hi guys, What glue should I use to reattach my esc to its casing? I was thinking hot glue gun but not sure if that would damage the circuit board or components... Or if it would cause a short... Any thoughts? evssv
Ok. .so its not screwed togather then? ?I'd of thought this would b enuff to hold it in place without glue...plus the glue on it has the shape of the bit it sits in..
evssv
If its not screwed then I'd use a cable tie/s over glue.... Edited March 28, 2015 by evssv
Madmini
I don't think cable ties will work. There is nothing to cable tie it too. The whole thing only just fits on my mini revo. Or in fact anywhere to run the cable ties on the esc itself...
jony nitro
Maybe shoo Goo
evssv
Small dab of silicone...
everclear1984
Maybe shoo Goo I use shoe goo to secure my rx, works a treat. The velcro holding my esc in is knackered so I think I'll go the same route there too.
Noj
Shoo goo doesn't conduct current... I'd be wary of using too much, covering components which may overheat...
everclear1984
Good point. The application I'm using for is external only. I wouldn't want to plaster a circuit board in it.

Madmini
Well I ended up using some silicon sealant and it didn't last one jump so I am going to need a new esc... That brings me to the following question What esc? I have a 2300kv motor in my revo and I run 2s lipo What do you guys recommend?
everclear1984
I tried silicone with the same results. Now mine is held in with Shoe Goo and going strong. It can be removed with a bit of force but won't shake loose in a crash. I'm afraid I can't help with the esc but I'm sure someone who can will be along soon.
