andyknight
Sitting in an airport for 4 hours, something was going to give and in the end it was my wallet. Hitec HS-5765MH and HS-7954SH with an adaptor bracket and alloy servo saver together with a new radio box thanks to RC, Servoshop and Abbots. If I'm here any longer those alloy hubs will start getting awfully tempting....
flatout!
Is it going in the 5b?
andyknight
Going in the KM002C. At some point I might actually use it rather than just spend all my time fitting stuff to it ;-)
flatout!
I didnt need the adapters for my sevo that iv put in the 002c I see now, new servo tray lol! Sorry mate my bad Edited March 6, 2015 by flatout!

andyknight
I had to buy a new standard km box as mines cracked down one side So the servo is moving the box about rather than the wheels.
flatout!
How's it broke the box? Can you see how it's done it? Ill try and prevent it happening to mine
flatout!
Iv just had a look you can get a steering servo brace, alloy aswell, that would stop it breaking the box hey, im crap at linking stuff so I havent linked it on here, but I think its not a adapter its just a brace, the savox needs a adapter though I do believe,. andyknight
Not sure how it's happened but the front left tab of the box that fixes to the chassis is pretty much separated from the box. It could have been pure Ham-fistedness on my part but I don't recall doing anything that would have done it.
andyknight
I would have got the alloy complete servo bracket from free prawn but they're closed all next week for deliveries. I think the one RC sells is standard size so would still need an adapter to reduce the gap slightly for the hitec. flatout!
Is that true, i thought the steering servo from hitec went straight in? And the bracket from rc modelz is for a standed servo so it should of been ok on the hitec, don't quote me on that though because i havnt done the steering servo yet, but im going to buy the steering servo brace though now youve told me yours as split in half, the tub issues that you had on the top left tub, i think they'll wear through eventually with all the vibration these cause, but if you watch the servo tray when operating the servo's it does bend up a bit so if you imagine it doing that constantly its going to wear through im pritty sure of that lol! I like to find out all these things that happen to them its make it a bit easier with this forum, because iv only got my mates 5b to go on and iv got to repair that when anything goes wrong with that one, but somthings have happened on his that have never happened to my 5b 's iv had, but that is purely down to maintaining it properly, witch he dosnt do after every run, Edited March 6, 2015 by flatout! .AJ.
Jofer Racing do a standard 1/5 servo to Hitec/Savox 1/5 sized adaptor plate, MMR and Freeprawn both sell them
flatout!
Does the hitec steering servo go straight in the 5b standed servo tray?
mark35
http://www.innovative-rc.com/baja-stearing-servo-adapter-mount-p-248.html No the hitec doesn't fit its smaller so you need a adaptor
flatout!
Nice cheers mark there you go Andy sorted kid youv got the adapter so itll go straight in lol!
andyknight
I would have got the alloy brace from freeprawn that is actually the right size for the hiTec if they'd been open next week. The one they sell has a reduced slot size especially for hiTec and rhino etc.
