  1. Well i guess people have good and bad experiences with these models but like i said me and my dad run both the bx and the st and have loads of fun with them. The only time anything has broken on them is on my bx when the throttle servo died because i got it wet, and my brother smashed it full throttle into a tree. If you were going to do the swap, i would get him to start it up and show you it working before hand. Running nitro can be stressful when things dont go right, but for me some of the enjoyment comes from fixing it up myself and getting it tuned right.
  2. I bought this charger for my 6v batterys and glow starters it does the job good but doesnt have an auto cut off i dont think. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ansmann-Racing-RC-Powerjack-GP-PRO-Nitro-UK-Battery-Charger-152100100-/281048266987?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item416fc838eb I use an ansmann 6v hump pack too with my hyper and its been fine. I think mines only 1600mah.
  3. Yes the hyper 7 is really common but everyone goes on about it because its good. Ive not had one problem with mine whatsoever, its fast, durable and reasonably priced for what you get so i would say its a great car for someone getting into nitro. But as said above buying new could save you a lot of hassle.
  4. I dont know what thickness grease is in there from stock but i just stripped mine down washed out the grease with fairy washing up liquid, rinsed off and left to completely dry. Then filled the diffs with silicone oil 5k in the front, 7k in the centre, and 3k in the rear and found it made a great difference to the handling. I also fitted the front anti roll bar at the same time, whether it has made a difference or not i dont know but its so much nicer to drive now ive done those two things.
  5. I got the Tomahawk BX buggy as my first car and my dad has the ST, i think they are great cars and bloody quick. As mentioned above though the exhaust is rubbish.
  6. You can change the search settings in google so it only displays high res images, depending on what browser you use it will either be at the side or at the top where it says search tools.
  7. Hi guys, im looking at getting this kit because all your buggys look awesome! Ive never built a kit before and have never run electric before so i know i may be jumping in the deep end a bit, but i do like a challenge. As i have no knowledge of what motors should go with what esc's etc i was wondering if any of you would be kind enough to point me in the right direction in what to buy with the kit. Im not looking for crazy speeds, so from what ive read i think i will only want to be running on 2s? Any help would be very much appreciated! Cheers
  8. Heres my Savage X 4.6 after her first proper run, took aaages to clean and i lost the ariel tube, at least i know its pretty waterproof though. The field was in a pretty sorry state when id finished with it
  9. Try starting with both of the needles flush with the housing. This may help http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60832
  10. Ive never seen this truck so im not 100% certain but i think you would be able to. You will need a 2.4ghz transmitter too though.
  11. I bought this battery indicator for my savage and installed it yesterday, its great! Also when im charging the hump pack and need to know when its done i just plug it into the indicator. Its
  12. I use liquid rosin flux at work and it works really well, i just dab some on the wire before i solder and i never get a dry joint or solder spikes. Just use acetone or something similar to clean off the excess flux after soldering.
