My Hobao Starter box takes something similar to this: http://www.hisupplier.com/product-41405-Sealed-Lead-Acid-Gel-Battery/ But unsure if this would be the right size for your box, Best bet is to take your box apart & measure up!

I have to be honest the Hyper engine is doing well, Just they don't seem that common on the Competative race scene for some strange reason... Will a better quality pipe benefit me much? Also is it worth changing my Clutch Bell, As my previous one exploded, So I just replaced it with another standard 13th Hobao one, Is that a little under geared?

Yeah I think Roto Start is on the agenda. Went out to use my car tonight only to find the stupid Starter Box was flat. I can't say I've got a budget as such, I Just want a good quality, Reliable & Powerful engine tbh. What would you personally recommend?

See I currently have the original Hobao Starter Box which came with my PBS & I'm not that impressed with the whole concept. I.e. Weight, Bulky & having to replace the Rubber Wheels every now & again, So would probably be looking at a Pull start or Roto-Start setup. How do Engines like RB, OS & Novarossi Engines compare to the above you mention?

Hi Guys, I've been away from the scene for a few years now, But just recently been brushing off the dust off my Hyper 7 Buggy & really want to get into the competitive side of things. My local club Nene Valley Raceway have relocated to a new site & the course looks good, So just got to get my BRCA membership sorted so I can get some practice time in. But also Herts Nitro Model Club looks like it might be worth a visit near Sandy/Stevenage. Anyone had an experience's with the above club's listed? I also need some advice on possibly a new engine recommendation, as my Hyper 21 8 port is a good engine, But doesn't seem to be very commonly used in the racing side of things & I want something with more top speed... The standard hyper servo's are cr@p!! Get a high torque one with metal gears they last for decades!!

Yes this can be done, i've seen many rex x with hyper engines!! Look on ebay for instance!!

Great, reliable, ideal for 21 big block engines. Amazing combo if you run o'donnells fuel aswell!!

o've course there is a limit daz!! The rex x are great little run arounds but the engines do have poxy compression!!

I'm not suprised when you laughed northern monkey!! lol Fg's are crap compared to these babies!! The last round at my local club the only 2 cars fighting for the win were super x's Now that was only a pack of 15 cars!! lol The mud just kils the fg's, there not too agile either compared to the super x!! Yeah, but Hobao designed it for racing!! I use to bash & jump my car loads until i got into racing!!, but they don't make these things to be destroyed!! Thats why jumping isn't cover in there warranty!! But if thats what you want to do? Then i'm not stopping you!! best regards Ash p.s. you must have more money than sence!! lol

My mates hyper never came with chassis braces, cosie had problems with one of his hypers because it did have them & one more last thing in the racer review it mensioned 'chassis braces are needed!!' explain that then smart [CENSORED]!!
