About Me
I have been involved in the hobby for many years, starting with model aircraft in the '80s and switching to RC cars in the mid-90s. I started off running a Tamiya FF01 on-roader and a DF-01 buggy, then switched to Yokomo for a while, running an MR4TC Custom and MR4BC on and off-road respectively. When parts for these cars started becoming scarce, I switched back to Tamiya, acquiring my first TT01 for Stock class racing, which was soon followed by two more for GT and Rally classes, and a M-03 for Mini class.
I raced regularly for a few years, then moved to a town without an active club, so most of my RC driving these days is non-competitive. My fleet has grown though, and now encompasses a variety of oldies, re-releases and contemporary models, all in full running order and of course all Tamiya. I find myself really enjoying the building, restoring and modding aspects of the hobby, as well as taking the cars out for a good run in the park every now and then with my wife who has also developed an interest in the hobby and has a small fleet of her own.
Oh, and we also run a couple of electric 1/10th scale V-24 Bat Boats when we are feeling aquatically inclined.
