  1. you should have shot em and buried them in the basement.... i think the best way to deal with this is to seriously **** him off. contact the bbc - watchdog cause they would love the idea of this. you'd prob get some of the fees back from the estate agent as a "gesture of good will" that guy would certainly loose his job & the embarrisment he would face from friends & family would be well worth it! plus the bbc would do all the work!
  2. i hate those "energy efficient" bulbs; its says on the pack 'smae light levels as a 60w bulb' then you get home turn it on and wait for an hour and you still have to break out the old mining lantern cause its so bloody dingy. i have found 1 bulb that actually emitis light. if you go to tesco and get the cheapest tesco value brand, they are really bright... i dunno how long they are gona last though..... they do pop every month. i have been buying 100w bulbs whenever i seen them spent
  3. hey sorry to hear that bad news give her a kiss from me! i suffer from c.f.s and have a bit or brain damage due to inoxier (lack of oxygen to the brain) and i have got a bus pass and a scooter license so i can use the little cars, i also do a bit of volentry work at a place called "diall house" in chester its a charity where they help people with disabilities, legal stuff, housing and so on. i work in the department with the scooter and tools and stuff; there is this one where its like a zimmer frame but it has a chair on it; so you can sit down every 10 meters or so to let you catch your breath. i found it a bit tricky at first to use but once you get the "feel" for it they are really good. see if there is a charity in your area who do a similar scheme and you would be able to use their equiptment (they may ask for a small donation) until she was a lot better. at least this way she can try the different equiptment before a purchase is made..... johnny
  4. the amazing thing about ubunto that i have found is that you dont actually have to install it; you can run the os from the cd (by the time it has loaded up 5 mins r so) it runs normal and you can use all the software which is preinstalled firefox, messenger and so on...... so you can try it before you install it.
  5. cbeebies is very entertaining!!! its good for me cause i am hopless at remembering stuff, so i watch it in the morning - its all repeated at lunchtime and then its repeated again after 3pm but this time it signed with macaton so its a free lesson - and btw finley the fire engine and the chuggintons are my fav!!!! some body help me
  6. keep em for a new project or just sell 'em to someone on here
  7. check the trim on you transmitter - set it to neutral, check all the wiring in your can make sure everything is plugged it the right way so loose or damaged cables, check batteries are all ok and fully charged, then re-program the esc, if it still does it my bet you need a new esc, i cooked an old one and all it did was go fowards at full pelt - what motor are you running and what gearing are you using, if the motor doesn't have enough tourqe the current it'll pull through the esc will fry the electrics! johnny
  8. er... yeah... .... what he said .....
  9. sounds like the diffs are way to loose, pop the sus off and take the drive shafts out from between the wheels & diffs; on one side of each diff you use an allen key to tighten the diff on the bearings, tighten these right up - but not too tight!!!!, will solve all your problems!!!!
  10. me wants one; it'll be good to meet everyone and have fun
  11. what condition are the brushes in? could it be this which has left the deposit on the inside of the motor? also when the motor is dismantled chech that where the brushes touch the spindle bit (have no idea what it is called) - the bit which you skim..... ensure there is nothing inbertween each plate as this could be the source of a short......
  12. i found in my master smacker there wasn't any air flow at all so i just popped a fan on the shell above the esc, - but i put my esc where it says to put the reciever and so my reciever is sitting ontop of the servo, and put a heat sink onto my motor - now it doesnt even get warm. i tried running a lrp t3 12x2 motor with a 16t pinion & a 78t spur; but the motor just cooooooked, changed it to a lrp 14x2 v10 spec4 and ran the gearing 21t pinion and 64t spur (lrp recomended gear ratio) and no probs at all.... just killled the spur so running it on the 22t pinion and the 62t spur now and turned the motor down to 0 to try and get a bit more tourqe out of it! btw the internal gear ratio for the master smaker is 3.09 so if you know what the recomended gear ratio is for the motor your running, if you use the math: (spur/pinion)X3.09= final drive ratio; keep changing the pinion till you get as close as poss to the recomended value! hope this helps went on a little didn't it........
  13. the df03 is a wicked piece of kit, very stable and easy to control! dont worry about getting the brushless setup first, get the kit and get one of these http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=31550 and one of these http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=24594 , run the 85t spur that comes with the pack which is listed in the manual as not used; this'll give the right gear ratio to run that motor so no need to bother working all the math out, trust me it'll seriously fly!!!!!!!!!! speed calculated at just under 10m/s plently for indoor track; but with the modified motor turn the setting to higher rpm and you'll go even faster
  14. give me a whole bloody packet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
