  1. Ah sorry Davy, turns out I was well over my inbox allowance which must have been reduced since I was last active. Should work now if you'd like to try again.
  2. Blade 230S Bind N Fly Excellent beginner collective pitch Heli. NOT RTF! You will need or ideally already have a 2.4 GHz Spektrum TX I bought this as is a while ago with the intention of trying Helis again but I already have a drone and need a clear out! It is very clean and I believe the first owner only used it a handful of times. I have never flown it. Comes with; 1No. 3S 800mAh LiPo - Sat balanced and stable at 3.74v Spare tail rotor Spare Main rotor grips & linkages Spektrum bind plug Charger with 240v and 12v plugs. I will say again - NO TX INCLUDED £120 + Postage or collection from Stockport.
  3. I had a bit of a moment going into a corner because I wasn't used to it. Luckily enough saved that but just ran wide out of the corner and onto the grass, only doing about 20mph at that point. Bike went on its side in the mud for about 6ft so no major damage,I went over the top of it and must've just rolled badly on my foot. No injuries other than that.
  4. Finally decided to go for a bit of an upgrade... Didn't stay like that for long though. Had a bit of a tumble, bike's a bit scratched but nothing major. I fractured my ankle and had to have a plate in it so in a cast for 6 weeks.
  5. Thanks facebook, I'm using a different device because my phone is flat, so no I cant verify my account with a code you text me...

  7. Thank you. Council highways departments are not directly linked to VED. If anyone wants someone to blame for the state of the roads, blame the idiots who are selling off the Highways Departments to independant contractors, then slashing the budgets they agreed to. On a related note, the new scheme of turning off the street lighting on fast A roads to "cut carbon emissions" is a complete joke and I'm sure will be scrapped as soon as it causes an accident.
  8. The KTM is expensive even second hand, especially if you're going through a dealer, and it'll only depreciate. Also the standard worries with a KTM, chavs love to pinch them so insurance will reflect that, somewhat questionable reliability compared to Japanese brands, even more so since the 125 duke is made in India. My opinion of them is very similar to the CBR and YZF 125's, you're paying for the styling. Remove all the angular plastics and they're really not much different from any other 125. As cyronn said, best suggestion would be to just use training centre bikes to get your test done. Learning gears won't take much. Failing that, if you want to practice and do tests without using a school, you might as well get a CG/ YBR, get tests done and when you upgrade you wont lose anything by selling it on, might even make a bit if you're smart about it.
  9. As Cerb said, Jobcentre should be absolute last resort. They'll treat you like scum and their only concern is getting you off JSA anyway. Off the top of my head the only websites I can think to add to the list are indeed.com and depending on where you are/ your willingness to sort through scams, gumtree jobs. I dont know if anybody who's suggesting going from place to place handing out CVs has done that themselves recently, but I wouldn't say to get your hopes up. Unless you've experience in whatever they're doing, even for entry level stuff, you won't get much response. When I go round handing mine out, it's very rare that I don't meet somebody doing the same thing. I've met the same people in different towns before too. Supermarkets? Yes they don't sound great, but there's still heavy competition. I've had a group interview with 8 of us for one part time vacancy stacking shelves. Funnily enough, the guy that not long ago worked for a different supermarket was the one to get it. Not to come across as totally negative but until you can get a foot in the door somewhere, it really is slim pickings. I'm currently trialing at a place with at least an hour commute and I'm likely to spend a minimum of 1/4 of anything I might earn just on getting there. Sorry to hear about being "removed", and for putting a bit of a downer on the thread, but that's been my experience recently.
  10. Not far off actually. That's the back of Bosley cloud. Tend to cycle from home so stick around congleton mostly.
  11. You can ride fine in snow if its actually just snow and not been trudged into ice already. The white one's mine. It was originally a Revolution (EBC own brand) something or other, but other than the frame I think everything has been swapped at least once now.
  12. Probably the 1st of nevermber.
  13. Wait, so you've already been arrested for locking someone in a shed, and now you want to make a "gun" to fire a projectile at someone else? Get a better lock for the shed, or get more lights and an alarm to scare them off. As Rover Man said, you can do what's deemed reasonable, I'm pretty sure setting traps that would cause harm isn't reasonable.
  14. It is often more than 5%, and it is deliberate. http://eur-lex.europ...19970725:EN:PDF " The speed indicated must never be less than the true speed. At the speeds specified for the test in 4.3.5 above and between these speeds, there shall be the following relationship between the speed indicated on the dial of the speedometer (V1) and the true speed (V2): 0 < V1 - V2 < V2 /10 + 4 km/h" So 10% + 4km/h is the allowed innaccuracy for speedos, but only to overread. (edit: the forum doesn't seem to like the code for the correct symbols, but it's in the link)
  15. I guess he just likes wood. Looks weird without the black spoiler again.
  16. Right now: It can be (and at the moment usually is) this :

I'm ok with having missed that conversation.
  20. Oxford are alright as a deterrent, and good enough to make most opportunists (who you should worry about with a scooter) think its not worth the hassle. They are still croppable if someone really wants to. The best feature of the almax's is the sheer size of them, You cant cut a chain that wont fit in the croppers. They're a bit over your budget and heavy buggers to carry to work though.
  21. Off to the IoM for 3 weeks XD

  22. Thats awesome! Really hope he can keep it up. Has he got a full sponsorship now?
