  1. Very sorry to read and condolences all who were close to him. Nice photograph. Al.
  2. Love to see this as 'a rig' with a suitable trailer as well!! Al.
  3. Just returned from Africa - one guy had wired in a light bar instead of sidelamps!! Worked quite well!! Al.
  4. I was just about to say 'I REALLY LIKE THIS' .... then I saw the price!! There is a lot of additional detail I suppose, and that is the original 'list price', but ... erm ... Al.
  5. That's less Protoform NASCAR style - mould an aerodynamic blob and make it recognisable by making prototypical decals - and more recognisable as a Corvette - basically, it doesn't look half bad - like it. Al.
  6. This truck looks vaguely familiar!! Hope you have many enjoyable, fast hours with it!! You can 'fine-tune' the grip by changing the centre-diff oil viscosity - it's set-up to be more stable and not lock up. Al.
  7. Any update on this James. Those cardan cables will need replacing, but there's still some meat on the pads. I had KPD (??) hydros on the front once - kept leaking so I reverted to the cables - they're all 'Tuning' so better than standard, just not as good as a full-on hydro installation. I used to find I'd give it a little run about, then have to reset the pad alignment, then she was right. Keep this thread coming - I'm curious to see how it comes out. Al.
  8. Interesting - mind the low-flying aircraft!! Al.
  9. Admin PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. ITEM HAS SOLD. Thanks, Al.
  10. This item SOLD, then the buyer pulled out - something about not being the motor he wanted ... why bid then, idiot!! Vent over!! I've sent a 2nd chance, but may still be for sale later - will update later today. Al.
  11. Admin please CLOSE THIS THREAD. ITEM HAS SOLD. Thanks, Al.
  12. This looks really nice. Body is too nice to consider the 'usual options' - high power / bigger motor, etc. Kept as a 'crawler', with that spec., it's great, but a bit expensive. Al.
  13. Hi there. YES, when purchased I checked it and it worked perfectly well. NO, there's no BUY IT NOW. It HAD a BUY IT NOW, but somebody started bidding, so 'auction site' rules are the item must complete the auction now - sorry. Al.
  14. So basically it's heavier, a lot more complicated than normal, and costs more ... or have I missed something? Al.
  15. As stated. This was a reserve for my Mental Maxx and Raminator. Box is still sealed - never used. LINK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263703092269?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Thanks, Al.
  16. As title. Purchased loose 'NEW' - I've never used it - was a reserve for the Mental Maxx and Raminator. Description is 100% correct but when I look, there are marks on the shaft as if it might have had a pinion on in the past - not by me. It was tested when I received it and ran totally as expected. I have no means of testing now. LINK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263703110140?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Al.
  17. Wrist slapped!! I had lost more interest than needed to look after these properly - knew it was going to the right place. I had been told it was a 28.5 cc 2-bolt - always seemed a bit too pokey the way it could heave that 18 kg MT about. Rejet and diaphragm are great moves - definitely necessary - I just emptied and oiled, or simply left, primed every so often so it didn't run dry, or waited until the family were out, then fired up in the garage and revved a few times!! Basically, it just wasn't getting used the way it should be. Great job James, glad you're getting stuck in. Al.
  18. ADMIN PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD. Thanks, Al. PS YES, I'm still around - from time to time!! LOL!
  19. FINALLY selling up. FG Modellsport 2WD alloy just about everything possible, Trevor Simpson 2-bolt 28.5 reed valve motor, Tuning cable brakes front and rear, tuning FG pipe, 3 sets of wheels - JA Racing alloy with MCD MT tyres, FG with studs for ice / snow and slicks. Just don't have time for it any more - deserves somebody who has time. Initially, needs to have pullstart replaced - supplied - original plastic pawl broke just recently. Trevor Simpson alloy cover has steel cable pullstart, so removed spring and pawl, ready to replace with the metal pawl in the pullstart not yet opened, from China. Link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263641216998?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Postage will cost a lot, and will probably need a few boxes!! Local collection is an option. Al.
  20. ADMIN PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. ITEM HAS SOLD. Thanks, Al.
  21. Traxxas have certainly turned up the heat on the realism front for the bodies - I just hope it doesn't mean they're going to be a little more fragile ... Al.
  22. Body looks well designed, to limit the 'parachute effect' and let you control it better in the air. That will be one nice truck. Al.
  23. This is going to be an interesting build. The Clod remains a very popular truck. Al.
  24. This is a fantastic opportunity. The truck and the spares included are a very high specification. I am open to reasonable offers. Thanks for reading, Al.
