  1. Ok an update, I managed to find a losi 8ight battery tray so that's on its way from the states and have received the traxxas rx box. Waiting on the Vse mount and will order the Max8 once i've figured out which connectors are best XT90 or EC5 ? Would two of these batteries be suitable for run the Hyper ? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-battery-nano-tech-5000mah-2s-45-90c-lipo-pack-xt-90.html?queryID=ba4c25d1628d0117f51c4573bfba696a&objectID=69258&indexName=hbk_live_magento_en_us_products Cheers
  2. the stripped down and clean is coming along so am ordering the parts in i need to complete this but may need your advice guys. any alternative battery tray suggestion as the losi 8ight is not only like hens teeth to get hold of but also not sure mounting the esc directly by the rear wheel is a good idea as it will get covered in crap. what max8 combo kv should i be looking at - 2200kv ?? it'll be a basher so 4s batteries should work but what amps and c rating should i go for Cheers Lisa

My car has RPM arms and T-Bone bumpers so hopefully they'll last but the consumable parts are worn and need replacing ideally. Cheers guys 👍

  6. Hey, I been a while since I was heavily into RC, life and work just sort of took over .............. Anyhow with working from home whilst in lock down I've dragged the old Hyper 7TQ out of the shed with the idea of going brushless. My RC knowledge is fairly out of date so am looking for a little shove in the right direction please, I've done some reading up and have come up with the parts list below, Any advice if I've missed anything, got it wrong or should be looking at better alternative components would be much appreciated. Hoboa Hyper SS motor mount Either EZrun Max8 combo or Quicrun WP-8bl150 ESC plus ........... ?? motor Losi 8e battery tray 20kg steering servo ....... any recomendations ? Any upgrade parts required ? It would be a general basher, I dont want stupid power just fun, reliable and tough Thanks 👍

  17. Thanks big Gaz - theres always one eeeeejit :/ There pics of all my rc cars in the gallery section of my profile The mini currently hidden in the garage is a 1990 (H reg) mini checkmate, it's black with a white roof and go faster stripes, it did have four spot lights on the grill but there smashed at mo due to a slight collision .... Oooops. The checkmate was a special addition to look like a Cooper but only has a 998cc engine which when I was 17 was great - but now it's going to get a full body rebuild, widen arches, retro wheels, and pep the engine up with a SP1 sports pack - work to be carried out by myself and buddy I will post pic of "Elmo" the mini when it was my daily driver once I get home from work
  18. I really think I may know what sex I am - and its a lass ! I find it quite insulting and sexist that you don't believe a lass can actually be interested in cars or anything else apart from the stereotypical image of women. Please feel free to ask members of this forum who have met me in person if your struggling to grasp the concept that much. @ barnetbasher - Muppet moment on my part ....... Sorry lol :-D I'm around nearer the Staffordshire boarder about 50mins from church stretton
  19. @ PurcyP - Your work here is done ??????? WHAT Pull your neck in, grow up and stop being a tit ! A question was asked about any female members of this forum - its light hearted friendly banter not piggin eHarmony. Opposite sexes can talk and enjoy the same hobby without it being creepy or mean walking down the aisle - pretty pathetic thinking on your part. @ barnetbasher - unless Lancashire has dropped south then nope, I'm up in them hills in Shropshire.
