  1. Lets say to make it worth hosting, it would need at least 50 paying people attending. you cant just pick a random field and host a weekender bash. You have to consider things like:- Toilets, whitch would bump up the price of the site, or be hired in by the host. Electricity supply, (whitch again, may involve hiring plant machinery) Shelter, (Big Maquee's arnt cheap either.) Benches, these need to be sourced also, probably hired. Waste removal, a skip, or a contractor to remove it after if not included in site rental. Transporting ramps and other RC props there. A host of other props and entertainment. (Would you want to travel 200 miles to a weekend event with just an empty field and nothing else?) Facitities for camping/parking for 50+ people. An established venue that allows the sort of noise we generate in large numbers that allows us to use it for our rather niche hobby isnt exactly easy to come by. So, you see, anything more than a daytime meet-up of a few people with some skate ramps requires far more planning and effort than i think you realise.
  2. If I had to replace just mine and the missuses cars with new, I wouldn't get much change from
  3. He Was a total Legend. A really top fella! always happy to help anyone with anything. His unique approach is what largely mae MSUK Forums what it was! I mean no disrespect to the current team but Carl really was the life and soul of the forum. I largely owe Project R.O.V.ers success to him. Many may not know but he was also a HAM radio enthuisiast, and he gave me loads of help and education about how radio signals work, legalities, and all sorts of other things about them. Gone, But never Forgotten. RIP mate.
  4. the "No, Sorry, its quite expensive and not as easy as it looks" usually does the trick... A lot of keyboard warriors in this thread... Surely giving a mouthfull of stick to someone who asks a polite question is a sure way to get an elbow to the back of the head! Especially if your watching your RC car.
  5. PC is whare its at for me! Just far superior full stop! (if you can fund it of course.) I do have an Xbox and PS3 however, and between the 2, PS3 wins for me, i just prefer the controllers, and its a decent blu ray player to boot. (I think the missus's Wii is an abonimation.)
  6. i have a friend whos into horse riding, whenever she comes back, she smells like the morning after evacuations from my bowels after a few pints and a kebab the night before.
  7. im also 33, like an awful lot of people in this thread!!! Actually think its the most common age so far... (am 34 in november..)
  8. Thats really good steve!! Footage quality is excellent, very little vibration too, how is it secured to the Baja?
  9. For sale is my Losi Micro Desert Truck. I have had it for a couple of years, but i rarely use it, it generally spends most of its life in storage so think its time it found another home. As such, it is in very good condition, very few scratches, no real wear and tear.. Comes With origional Box, with Manual, origional spare E & C clips & Pinion gears. Comes with the Plastic Losi display stand for the car. Also comes with a set of Micro High Roller wheels, however, the stock axles are a little short for them, with either high roller axles or a little modding, they can be made to fit. Full details can be found here :- http://www.modelspor...0&ChassisID=642 Im after
  10. Awesome! I converted an X1CRT before there was such a thing as an RTR. Was an amazing car to be fair. Definitely a worthy project.
  11. I actually quite like it. Its actually a bit of a step up from the Nitro 5T, as it was literally a stretched savage, it was pants, This one looks like its been re-inforced in many areas its Nitro ancestor failed badly. To be fair, the old savage 5T was a bucket of crap.. Id like to think HPI learned a few lessons from it though. How do you come to that conclusion? After building and running a TCS Crawlers 5T Conversion with Baja wheels and tyres, i can certainly say it isnt underpowered at all!! If anything, it was more manageable, as you could use 6S without flipping it and rolling it all the time. As to what HPI was thinking, its a 1/5 Electric that looks like one of the most popular 1/5 gassers on the market, are you really trying to say that there isnt a market for this?? My main concern is are HPI going to implement a stupidly greedy price tag.
  12. lets see the origional add. To see if youve been fleeced or not.
  13. lol! This is an awesome project! With a goal worthy of recognition in the annals of history!! Will be watching with interest!! Science hair is just awesome too!!
  14. MSUK had first refusal for over a week with a very decent price, No one wanted it. as such now it's listed I'd rather it ran its course sorry. Thanks for the interest anyway, and feel free to make a bid.
  15. Personally, i think its a pile of junk. Its an awesome looking car, but thats whare it ends for me. Its so easy to do expensive damage on a nasty roll, and it handles pretty bad for a 1/8 buggy.

  18. Fair do's joe! It's turning into a work of art! Excellent conversion project! Certainly one to be proud off!
  19. Ironicly, the Lipo lasts for ages!! Had several hours out of it and only used half a charge. The Wireless security equipment is useable, the key is in the antennaes though. Circular polarisation and directional patches will get you longer range than any handset, unless you convert it to 133MHz (A uk specific channel reserved for RC control, but not used by any mainstream companies)
  20. Yup, i used them as passenger goggles, i bought a more advanced pair for myself.
