Asked for info about getting best tune etc on the american baja forum and more people suggested i steer clear of it than people giving any info. Check your squish...too much compression can blow the top ring on the head over a thread as it only screws on. This is what happened to mine : (

    had a Marauder back in the day. Upgraded from a Tamiya Boomerang and the Mardave was my first nitro.     have you got a spark? air leak shouldn't stop it from starting (just make it rev higher) if you do have a spark try 1.5 on the LSN as well. Do you have a chokeless carb?

    if you are using truck wheels, ratio is same as marder (may want to start with 20-44) if using touring car wheels, ratio is same but you may want to start with 24-40

    exhaust leaking will not cause airleak. will affect performance......slightly. check its from exhaust and not head gasket

    if you have a lot of smoke its probably 'cos you are using too much oil. My mixing bottle takes an extra 50ml of petrol to bring it up to the 1 litre mark, then adding 31ml of oil (i run a 32-1 mix) it still doesn't reach the 50-1 mark !!! you don't need to see smoke like a nitro use a good quality 2 stroke oil.......cheap oils will smoke too
