  1. Last chance before ebay guys, about half a week more. Thanks, any questions please feel free to send me a message, post in here or email. Just fitted a brand new pull start onto it, 30 quid as with the last one the cord was getting a little knackered, looked a little worn too so thought it would be best to just fit a new one. Engine is still in mint condition.
  2. Whoops, sorry guys kinda forgot about this thread. Yes it's still for sale. Please P.M me or email. I will keep a closer eye on these threads now too, sorry about that! And yes, I think you can fit a .21 engine in the Revo.
  3. Hi everyone, I have a O.S. 21 VG-PX (pull start) engine up for sale. As it's pull start there is no need to lug around a massive starter, perfect for bashing or racing. The engine is in perfect condition, the head is very slightly scratched but it's nothing more than cosmetic and you can't notice it unless looking for it. Never ran without a air filter, never ran lean, heatcycle break in. Always ran on the rich side, no max throttle for longer than 3-4 seconds. After run oil used. As you can see I play it safe with engines. It's had under 2 US gallons of Byron GEN 2, original box and manual brought brand new from shop. The engine runs great, real good speed out of it, and is fuel economic too. Starts up in the first couple of pulls. If picking up you can see the engine running at the field next to my house or my garden, no problems. I have the full receipt and it's only had about 1/4 of it's 2 year warranty used up. I am from the UK, willing to post but I will have to find out the price of postage. Pick-up is welcome too, Berkshire, England, UK (P.M for more info). I would like 50 pounds I paid over 100 pounds for this engine when new, less than half price. Paypal or cash on collection both fine with me. Feel free to make me a offer too. Thank you.
  4. That's correct, keep trying to start it up, prime it again a few times to get rid of all the fuel in the lines also. Hehe, another one of the LHS's BS about the car at a angle. No need to store the car at any angle, if you wish to store the car in a certain way then it's best to store it with the suspension and wheels unsprung. Also it helps using a decent fuel, some LHS's give out fuel with to much oil in, because they make profit and/or they don't know any better. I suggest Byron RACE Gen 2 fuel or one of the Tornado range (although not as good as Byron's).
  5. nut-nut you have to much time on your hands .
  6. Ouch, how did they kill the clutches so fast? I'm even running a odd one out atm but it's been working fine, perfect, I thought I should change them all because I really wouldn't think running a odd one out would be much good for performance! (Very similar but one is slightly different cut). I've been running it like this ever since I got it, no problems! Ah, thanks Merlin, they look great, oh well! Next time!
  7. Glad that you got it sorted mate, I should check for air leaks on my engine I think!
  8. Even if that particular one is good, all the rest are terrible and I doubt the part support/quality is that great though TBH. I have only ever seen one in real life, and I didn't like what I saw but I've never owned one...
  9. Stay away from anything with the word nitrotek on it mate!
  10. Ah okay that's just made my mind up, it's just they're expensive and so is everything else in the shop compared to abroad. Sorry, but I google the parts and they're the same price in dollars! I'll go for it then! Just went through another plastic hub today and I lost my e-clip . This one says it comes with them so that's good. Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium Pro Hi-Tensile Screw Kit Hong Nor Long Life Aluminium Clutch Shoes (heard they're good, don't think much of my current ones eek!) Put to use my clutch tool Hong Nor 1/8th Manifold Seals (Pair) (might as well for my JP-4) What's the difference between the rubber ones and the silicone ones? That'll do me fine for a bit, I would much rather just spend my money on fuel though . I'll order it now. Edit: Ordered!
  11. Hey guys, not a big fan of JEspares, is there anywhere else I can order a screw kit that's similar to the JEspares one? I don't mind if it's from HK/USA/ebay etc! http://www.jespares.com/radio-controlled-m...-screw-kit.html It doesn't matter if it's stainless steel either. Thanks.
  12. I would love to just stick it in the carb (other than the air filter issue) but why do they state in pretty much all the manuals that ARO does effect o-rings, I completely agree with you, don't get me wrong but they do say that...
  13. Yep, I had a good argument on one of youtube's comment pages with one of these idiots selling it to everyone. I can't directly quote what he said because it's pretty much all bad words but look around sure you'll find it. It just shows that they know nothing about engines, I even asked him if he had proof on how it made a difference but he kept suggesting that I should look at the videos and the amount of sales he has. As for the sales, well there are lots of idiots in the world and for the videos, well they look nothing special. I hate that these people are getting money...
  14. Well the O.S. manual states what it could damage the o-rings, now personally I don't know whether or not this is true, but they do make the engines... Also my air filter is cable tied on so tight that you could most likely lift the truggy from it. I tried the nitro cleaner spray, and I tip it upside down, drips out but there still seems to be some muck down there, only damp muck! I've used a brush but I noticed the brush hairs fell out, might have to give cotton buds a go, good idea! I wish to use ARO every day, it just makes sense, it's cheap stuff and I like everything it says on the bottle . No matter how much you try to run it after the tank is empty, there's still always going to be fuel left in the engine, ARO just stops rust buildup which is very important to me, even if I do run it everyday or two. Humm, Mr T think that might be a good idea, the silicon rubber plugs do they cover just the glowplug or the whole engine area, because I notice they vary a lot between engines. Will give the cotton bud and/or cleaner a try tomorrow, hope the cotton doesn't come off though!
  15. I would rather not do that, other than getting the car soaked in nitro and oil nitro fuel is one of the most expensive liquids on mother earth . Thanks though!
  16. Hey guys, Just a few questions, after every run outside I take my truggy in and go to put ARO in, everytime there is some kind of dirt in there, worried about getting any inside the engine, I haven't yet but I'm a bit tired of having to try to clean it out and then remove the glowplug carefully. I had a stone wedge it's self in there which took a good 10 mins getting out and scratched the inside a bit also... Now I've just made a sprung lid type system on top of the engine heatsink (can spring it up to put ARO in and glowstarter etc), although I don't think it's going to last longer than a few mins of jumping because it's held on by some CA and kicker, don't think that mixes well with vibes and heat! So I am thinking about covering the whole rear engine vent on my truggy (bodyshell) with a fine mesh, is this a good idea? It runs very cool as it is so I don't think cooling would be a issue, although not sure how much it would effect it. I've tired using brushes and nitro car cleaner to clean it out but it doesn't work. Anything else? I was thinking velcro and a metal/plastic cover on top of the engine but the heat would get to it most likely. I know you can use compressed air but it doesn't seem to get rid of it all and it's not cheap for a few cans and I would rather just have it nice and clean all the time! Thanks guys.
  17. It's a load of rubbish, what video was it out of curosity, a few of them are done by a complete idiot who thinks supercharging and turbocharging a engine gives more power, I try to explain to him about the fuel to air ratio but he just started swearing at me... Complete idiots, don't even waste your time with this rubbish, stick a decent pipe/engine/fuel in your car and you've got a combo!
  18. You'll be fine holding it open more than 3 seconds, as long as you're driving it on the ground. I wouldn't recommend to much time though.
  19. Ah, I see them now, not used to buggys ha! I got the Dubro clip retainer . Look nice, how much traction do those tires give you?
  20. Looks nice! What's with all the tubing though?
