    I tried 16 tooth and the ESC would shut down quickly, in less than 30 seconds most of the time. It was ******** fast and I got 60mph (telemetry read-out available if interested!), I soon went back to the 13t which still gets me 50mph on tarmac. Fans needed though on ECS and motor!!!

    I upgraded mine for same reason, one of the front shocks was bent at the bottom. They have been excellent, the oil combination I am using seems to be just right (50/40) although the jumps at the moment have not been huge, just big! Doing them off skateboard ramps rather than off buildings or big jumps!!

    I tape up my soft case batteries slightly with duct tape to help protect the ends and give them more regidity. My last one I got was this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=34884 - one hell of a battery and heavy too, be careful of extra weight, my sway bars and Pro-line Powerstroke shocks helps keep the car in order with it. I use this battery the most: http://www.overlander.co.uk/lipo-batteries-6500mah-3s-11-1v-25c-sport-track.html - got it in August last year and still going strong with my car and the Velineon set-up.

      I've been really busy with work/life the last months so soon I hope! I've got some older footage I could chop up actually ... I had to rebuild the super 5 from the ground up so took me a while! Did you get yours in the end?

      Not got it yet! I took Mrs to Rome for a week and bought a puppy in June then been enjoying the weather in July. I haven't even painted my new slash shell yet that I got beginning of June - it's cut ready to spray!! Too much fun being had!!

    I have the black sway bars on mine but it will depend what you are running it on as to which is best, whether you want stiffer ones or not. You can alter the turning on the controller to help and its a case of trial and error as the best approach, understanding what is best to start with. I added the sway bars to help stop the rolling at high speed and worked a treat.

    I'm still using stock, friend of mine upgraded his, I just altered the tx set-up and had to reverse the steering direction as it was set-up wrong way.

    I have one, well, my son has (aged 5). I also have stock piled parts as they do break quite easily. Great piece of kit for the money, but its almost as cheap getting a Traxxas Slash 4x4 for the amount spent on tx/rx, parts.

    Spares pile - get body mounts, arms, upgraded shocks, rods, rod ends, bumpers - all bound to break easily. Good cars but parts weak. 2S Lipo, 3S works fine in there too, but no more. 2S happily all day long, with numerous charges!

Selling recently so may just be on a holiday!! I could do with another set! UPDATE. On holiday and will be back next Sunday 23rd so keep them saved!

    Yes, it is 540 size. Underbody has worked really well, but I do use it with the dusty motors shroud as well. Although you do get sme debri through the ends, I have blocked them up temporarily before which stopped everything, but temps were getting up quite high even with the fan on esc and motor. I need to reposition the heatsink and fan on the motor to help get the air to the motor and not half on the cables. The shock covers I got off ebayi think there are a few of us that get them from same place, Noj I know gets sakes ones. I'll find the shop. Thanks mate, I think I'll got for it - can always put stock back on if doesn't work out!

    Pro-line Power Stroke Shocks: New RPM back bumper: Still can't make my mind up about fitting the front one! Today I started with the new Pro-line Flo-tek body but only cut it out as had a busy day out!

    I have just got the pro-line flo-tek raptor and it feels more solid that the stock ones. I will still tape the entire inside like I did the stock as it does help. Slightly harder to do the holes but worth it. From August it was only last month I started to get cracks.

    The new shocks are amazing! Ok, so maybe bit too excited there, but there are great. Going to do some proper big tests tomorrow but so far off the skate ramp they take a good beating! Tomorrow I will do some vids if I can get a grub screw for front sway bar, won't be fitting the new shell yet as I need some paint! Looks like the springs that come with them are fine, but I am using 60wt and 50wt.

    Oh yes! A cocker spaniel - choc bitch called Phoebe. Don't get her for a couple more weeks when get back from Rome and she'll be 9 weeks.

    I have got some before, including my shocks, but got stung with import tax and handling fee so worked out just a few quid cheaper. Good sometimes to get stuff locally.

    My latest round of upgrades: As well as Pro-Line Pro-Flek Raptor shell just out of pic. Oil to go with Pro-line Power Strokes not in pic. Got 40wt, 50wt and 60wt. Of course the EDS tools and Core RC lexan cutters aren't part of the upgrade but nice to have!
