  1. Its got FOC Im predicting pads because they are very smooth and the truck is 2nd hand and traded it for my Hyper 8. First few times i've used and im using a different fuel from whats it had used so needs tuning. Well the idle was ridiculously high but when on the ground, the weight of the revo ensured it didnt move. So i left the idle setting stupidly expecting to do that as the last adjustment and therefore spurs rotating but drivetrain cant = bye bye slipper! waz you've had a revo or two in your time (actually the man who convinced me to get an LST donkey years ago lol!), any aftermarket slipper conversions available? Mine was extremly hot after a 2 minute sitting there while i corrected the idle to ensure i didnt wreck the new set which went on.
  2. Na, simple problem. Just the pads are wrecked and i know why. Just making sure i get this truck! Should have really stripped it down and rebuilt it after i got it but im far too lazy at the mo.
  3. Nope, all is in tact inside the slipper assembly. I just needed reassurance the Revo only had this single pad system as my LST had 2 sets of pads for the slipper. Problem caused due to me but this is getting annoying as 2x occasions i've tried to use the revo, its been no luck. Ill get there in the end! Cheers for the info ziggy
  4. Ok so 2nd time out with the revo and yet again, 3 minutes in (literally) something else gives up and i go home. So it started okish, just needed a tune *i think*. Then i lost all drive, kicked the throttle and it was barely moving. Brought it in, checked the meshing, spur condition and redid the slipper clutch. Tried again and same results. Lots of revs and barely any movement. So i ripped it apart again, and took the slipper apart. Now the slipper consists of a spur with pads on the back. And then a metal plate on a another metal plate which is hooked up to the gearbox. Now the pads and the thin metal are very smooth and just glide. Since i've never been around a revo just making sure this is the problem. I expect the pads should be gripping onto the metal plate?

    23mm or 17mm?

Well im going to double check mine for the shims like Rover Man suggested as i havent had a look to see if the previous guy remembered to shim it. Hopefully something is loose somewhere. Its just odd how its happened to all 4 and also my wheel hex's are fine.

    23mm or 17mm?

Nick you using Prolines? I've got some on my revo and yesterday i finally managed to get some "time" with it. Anyway when i lifted it off the ground and hit the throttle, ALL the wheels woobled quite badly. All my adaptors are very very tight but i seem to have a problem with them. Im thinking your problem doesnt really sound like a hex size problem but adaptors as mine is. I also think with your setup, a 23mm hex would be better lol. A standard 14mm will strip way to easy. 17mm is generally used by the 1:8th buggy boys.
  7. TBH i've tried trashing my RC18T and got nowhere. I actually spent one battery time with the intension of braking it. Hitting a ramp as hard as possible and ensuring it landed horribly. End result? One blooming screw made itself loose GRR BREAK!
  8. It has to be minimum 11cm long preferably longer i.e 12-13. The revo ones are only 10.5cm rcsammy if you find and its that long please pm me!
  9. Well the first outing with my revo was a bad one leading to a burnt out servo in 3 minutes (not exagerating!) So im changing the throttle setup slightly and need the above, and just like the picture below. The long part of the rod needs to be at least 11cm long and any normal stopper will do. Would like asap to get the revo going again! Paypal waiting
  10. Id like to try Maxxy's fuel. If you can get your hands on it give it a try. I heard good things about it and its pink so even better! Byron/Odonnell are always firm favorites with fuel. Tornado's been getting a battering latly but i know a lot of people still happily using it especially for the price. Oh and also heard a bit about Pro Synth being good. Can be ordered from thier site but is expensive stuff and you have to buy at 4x gallons in a ago like Bolton Model Mart.
  11. Sitting next to me, PM sent
  12. Ahh just read "bottom shock cap". So to confirm on these but in plastic? Should have some lying about.

    Savage x SS 4.6

Not sure how long its been out for (cant be more than a few days) but here it is: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=25876 £334 I was considering selling the almost completly alloy Revo i just got a few weeks ago and buying this instead! I havent even run a full tank through the revo yet due to being soo busy but will get a chance tomorrow . If i dont like it or it breaks from bashing im selling it to buy this savage. I just want another box with an rc to turn up to my house
  14. Note sea118 if you have an RB TM323. There is a known issue with the carb sticking and i had a similar problem(using hi power servo from spektrum kit). All you have to do is slightly wriggle the carb and adjust it untill you are able to open the carb. To see if this is your problem, try opening the carb using the linkages by hand. If its hard to open all the way then its the carb at fault and just do as i said above. I tried opening mine by hand and couldnt do it!
  15. Would of been 4 star to unleaded. Ahh the days of 4 star......
  16. I would of prefered RPM's and they shall be on thier way as soon as some bending/snapping occurs!
  17. Not a clue sea118, this whole truck is new to me and i got it with all the hopups! The shell is stunning, photo's dont do it justice. G4 i've still only ran 1/8 of a tank so far! To say i've been busy is an understatment. I'm trying my hardest however to try and fit in some time with it this Saturday. But its absolutly awesome looking lol. I need a different servo on the steering though. Got one of those Servoshop jobs on a single servo conversion and its not got enough ooomph for my liking especially with 40series on!
  18. Just got this revo a few weeks ago and loving it so far. And nope, its not your average Revo, it has a "few" hopups . Sorry about pics, took them in the darkest part of the house:
  19. Proper tyre glue is slightly flexible. Super Glue is strong but brittle and in my in experiences, rubbish. A bit of balloning of the tyres and the glue is gone. However once CA glued in, with no amount of abuse with they come off.
  20. Part Number: 5243 Could only find on benracing: http://www.benracing.co.uk/CGI-BIN/sh00000...l%23a5243#a5243 Go all the way down untill you find " THROTTLE ARM, CARBURETOR/ 3mm Ref: 5243 " or just search for 5243.
  21. Hi all, In need of a graphics card which will play the average game. Doesnt have to play them well or anything, just be able to play them. My 50year old Geforce 4 MX440 64mb is getting a bit ridiculous. Not looking to spend more than £10 - £15
