I would think it depends if your doing high speed runs or if its jumps and stuff your doing. For high speed runs I would go for the 2 speed but if its off-road jumps and stuff get a pipe. Gearing can also help. I may be wrong but thats what I think.

I bought from 25 to 40 so that way I can experiment but that wont be until I join my local club at the start of new race season, buy a few and try different weights to see what your happy with.

Surely if it's just above idle it wont be that fast. Just drive around keeping the throttle open to heat the engine up

Does turning the flywheel backwards not retract the pullstart. Not much point cuttin the cord, might be wishing you had it if the batteries for the starter box die.

I'd say the GPU as overheated and the joints de-soldered. My old xbox done this but I tried the wrapping in a towel, so it heats up a lot and hopefully the joints stick down again. Mine worked for about 6 months after this.

Yep, just turn it and hold it fully in the direction you want to adjust and then use the trim buttons again
