  1. The E10 Touring and Drift share the same chassis, but have the facility to move the location of the motor and electrics, within the chassis for better weight distribution, depending on use. Go for the E10 Drift, they are a great beginner car and almost bullet proof. The choice of fast charger is like asking, how long is a piece of string! The d box is an option, but not standard on the E10
  2. I've always been very careful with my lipo, however, having not used it for a while, I took it out the other day and discovered I'd left the truck switched on, for about a month! I charged it up and noticed it had lost all its punch, was sluggish to take off, much lower top speed and shorter run time. Can I save the battery or does it sound its past the point of no return?
  3. They are brilliant! I bought 2, 1 each for my Son and me about 3 months ago, and we race/jump them in the living room. We can't do that with our 1/10 scale drifters! Threaded axles, ball raced, Lipo and BB2 Atomic motor; BRILLIANT. We had our first breakage a couple of days ago, due to playing outside in cold weather, the plastic obviously got too brittle. I'm surprised it took this long to break anything, they have taken a lot of abuse/ fun etc.I've just replaced the borken parts with alloy ones and am trying to resist the urge to completely upgrade them. The only REAL weakness is the diff. If someone produced an upgraded one, I'd buy 2!
  4. I have NEVER heard of anyone who has one and thinks anything other than they are excellent. There are plenty of videos on You Tube to whet your appetite.
  5. Any tarmac or concrete area in reasonable conditon should be suitable. what about your driveway or the road outside your house, or is there a carpark nearby? I've an E10 and its an excellent one box way of getting into drifting. Defo get an extra battery. don't be in too much panic to buy one. wait till you've got the money to buy the one you want.
  6. I tried the new one on my sons car. With the middle pinion, its faster than my fastest standard motor with the biggest pinion. SOOO much smoother and quieter also. I'm going to run it a while before I get another one. Hopefully this one'll be a bit more reliable.
  7. I tried the original motor and no problems, so I can only assume the BB motor has broken, Very disappointing, however, at
  8. I've noticed one of my dogbones is bent, could this eccentric loading be over stressing the motor?
  9. I've been waxing lyrical recently about my Micro DT and how the Atomic BB motor and Lipo are a great combo, HOWEVER, I tried to take it out a run this morning and the motor ran for about 5 seconds and then stopped, steering still worked. Switched off and on, same thing 5 secs then dead. A couple of previous times i've been out the car has stopped after about 10 mins bashing, I assumed the esc had self protected. Switch off then on and no problem. Could my motor be the problem or could it be the esc? I'll stick the stock motor back in over the weekend to give it a try to eliminate the motor as the issue. Any thoughts? I do vaguely remember reading a thread somewhere that described the same issue, but can't find it again.
  10. We spend most of our time jumping over ramps in the living room, or rather since the upgrades, launching them into a bean bag! Outside we run on tarmac, but you need to be carefull of stones, they can send the micros into cartwheels! Brilliant fun, buy one, you won't regret it!
  11. I've just gone through my 2nd diff!, don't know if it's too much power or if the transmission needs shimmed, however I found on another forum how to permanantly lock the diff with super glue, so with nothing to lose, I've locked my duff diff. First impressions are slighlty larger turning circle, far easier to wheely and accelerate quickly in a straight line, previously it took a gentle run up to achieve top speed. Has any one else tried it?
  12. Dare I say it, Off Topic! Handbags, anyone! lol
  13. OK I water broke in my 2 BB motors, and you could clearly hear the revs rise as they broke. I put the fastest one into my DT, wee son couldn't handle the power . My previous posts talked about differences between 2 motors etc, well the fastest BB motor is SO fast that on full revs, it balloons the DT's tyres! I'm impressed! I just don't think the transmission will stick it though! I'm going to speed test it, but subjectively it's pretty impressive for something so small.
