  1. Just seen these on Aliexpress for 23 quid each. Tempted to take a punt as not in a rush. Chances are they are the same ones!
  2. Lol that sounds more like my running. Have a quick blast, help kids, have a quick blast help kids and so on! Don't think I'll justify that many batteries!
  3. Yikes!! Oh well! I'll start with two packs and see how I get on!
  4. Brill!! That works out cheaper even when you calculate delivery! I know it's theoretical... But how long should these last? Should these be good for 30 mins to an hour of easy bashing?
  5. The one I've bought is second hand and comes with a Max 6 and xt 90s, so I'll stick with it. Currently in the process of selling all my Losi lst stuff to raise funds to cover my new purchase. I should have done it the other way round but got a bit carried away! Once I've got more funds I'll get the batteries you suggested as they are a good price for the spec! Shame they don't come with xt90 to start with. Cheers
  6. Anyone still run these? I wish these were a current model but I've decided to sell up and switch cars. I've got lots of brand new spares I'm putting on eBay. If anyone needs anything let me know and I'll see if I have it in my spares. I know some of these parts are getting rare. I've put all my items in the for sale section.
  7. Thanks I usually go for XT 90s for my Lipos...is that the same for the X Maxx? That's a bit more than I was expecting, but wasn't looking at 50C rated batteries. Hey ho, might wait a little while longer for my batteries!
  8. Hello All, I have just purchased a X-Maxx 8S which has the stock motor but with a Max 6 esc. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any batteries. I don't plan to race or have sessions that will last more than an hour or so! What batteries (wallet friendly) would you recommend that are located here in the UK? Cheers in Advance!
  9. Following on from that...Looking at these Lipos: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-5000mah-2s-30c-lipo-pack-xt-90.html Only available in the global store. Has anyone ordered anything from the Global? Are you getting hit with customs? As, if I get the extra charges...I might as well spend a bit more and get it from MS or the likes.
  10. Finally got the RC cars out! Going to give them a run this weekend at Queens Park in Bolton. Kids do a Park Run at 9am on Sunday, then going to use the flat field next to it to give the cars a go!
  11. Finally getting my RC's out again!! Looking at both my boys RC cars...half the NiMh batteries are losing the charge really quickly. So I'm tempted to upgrade them to Lipo. So while I'm at it, thought I might as well upgrade them to brushless! Has anyone got this combo.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353369985436 It seems a good price. The cars will probably get used about 45 mins to an hour twice a month if I'm lucky! Also, don't want anything that will shred the carnages!
  12. I'm in Bolton now as well....Packed away my RC cars as getting some work done on my house (had to move out)! Will probably get my RC's running for 2022 at this rate! Be interested in finding decent spots to bash around Bolton though! There are some flat grounds at the beginning of the loopline but will be hard to lug gear there as no close parking!
  13. Yeah, its a shame as they were great trucks!! I will be breaking mine out again in summer! Just on the verge of extending our house...so everything has been put into boxes deep in the garage until the work is complete. Still may test the water once the house is done, if I get a decent price on it as a roller..I might be tempted to take the electrics to another vehicle. I'm just worried about damaging the truck in case I can't get spares! Its gone from a basher to a shelf queen!
  14. Hey Pal, Hows it going! I've still got mine, but I ended up doing a brushless conversion on mine! Since doing it, I used it a couple of times! I'm still torn whether I should sell it or keep it!! The problem is, I 've got soo many spares and supplies and I know I wouldn't recover the money on. Also, there is nothing on the market that floats my boat within my budget! I'd be tempted with the Traxxas X Maxx but at a cost of £1k not inc needed mods..I can't justify it. Esp as I'm hardly taking the cars out at the moment! But yeah, I'm done with Nitro! I still miss it occasionally...but if I want to go out now...All I have to do is charge the batteries and go...no more guessing whether it will be an hour in the field thinking if I got enough glowplugs or got enough spares etc.
  15. I know this is a bit late, but my usual spot has always been the Costco carpark in Trafford. Never had an issue with people or Costco. In fact, since they have made the petrol station, they have created a mini carpark which kinda replicates and oval race track! Still meaning to get there at somepoint this summer!
  16. As above! Rcbearings have great customer service and are very reasonable. They do a whole bearing kit for the Carnage at a discounted rate: https://www.rcbearings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=15_53&product_id=1733
  17. I bought mine in October...so not sure if they have changed anything. Haven't really ordered anything else since then!
  18. Yeah, I've always gone for the free shipping ones and never been hit with tax or fees. But it's a risk you take. For me the saving was worth the risk...which paid off for me.
  19. Not sure about the prices but when I bought my hobbywing esc and motor for my losi I got it from Aliexpress and saved a huge chunk of change!
  20. Why would it be better? Thought it would only be handy if you have a few 48dp pinions knocking around?!
  21. Thinking about going out tomorrow morning around 9ish at the Costco Carpark. Any up for joining??
  22. Not really as there is still a bit of space length ways, so just pull the cables to the side of the post.
  23. They look better batteries than mine for not much extra!! To be honest I only get through one battery before kids are done. They usually get more run time than me as I'm always helping them out!
  24. These are the ones I use: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/zippy-flightmax-5200mah-2s2p-30c-hardcase-pack-roar-approved-de.html Works fine for my car, not sure how they compare to other ones though.
  25. I use xt90 on my carnage and works fine! I keep all my lipos on xt90s and deans on my nimh batteries! Just for ease really!
