  1. Happy days so I should be good to go then. Why do they recommend a trickle charge first time?
  2. Hi folks, How important is it that a hump pack is trickle charger first as opposed to peak? Reason I am asking is I just bought this... Do I need to go out and buy another bloody charger as well now?
  3. Burnt my fingers, broken stuff and spent more money
  4. Battery pack was last used a few weeks ago, but after posting I managed to get it to charge properly (or so I thought) because the light on the NX83 was a constant red. Once it turned green I plugged the pack back in and after about 5 seconds the wires of the On/Off switch melted. Battery pack wires are fine, not sure what's going on! I'll upload a pic in a second
  5. Hi folks, I hooked up my battery pack (Storm 1600 6.0V) to my charger (Fusion NX83) and the red light on the RX side of the charger just flashes red. The TX side shows a constant red and charges fine but the RX just will not play ball. Does anybody know what could be going wrong here? Was hoping to get the buggy out today but there's no chance of that happening if I can't get this thing to charge!! Cheers folks
  6. Just realised.... I have one that might fit! Let me know if you need it
  7. Oh actually I have another question; before I stopped using my last Hyper I oiled up my shocks with Losi shock oil (35 and 40 front and back if I recall). Anyway, since doing that the Hyper never got used once and has been sat in storage since, shocks seem in decent nick do you reckon I'll need to re-oil or should they be fine?
  8. Thanks for the info buddy, looking forward to firing them up this weekend.
  9. I may be a bit bias but I'd recommend a Hyper 7, they're a solid bet and you are never going to struggle for parts. Have you had a look at Gumtree and Shpock? I just bought a barely used TQ2 with spares etc for 130 on Shpock. Not sure where you live but there is a TQ2 on there right now for 150, guy accepted an offer of 100 from me but I had to back out because he couldn't/wouldn't post. The gadgy has 3 ads up all for the same car, not sure why but its worth a look anyway if you are still interested.
  10. Hi folks, It has been a very long time since I was last on here. To give you a run down when I was in college about seven years ago I got my first nitro; a Hyper 7 TQ and I upgraded what bits on it that I could afford, just has a look and the album is still here. Anyway, I stopped using it once I left college and moved away for university, so it hasn't been run for about 5 years now. I recently bought a second hand (but barely used) Hyper 7 TQ2. Neither have been fired up yet because I'm away with work but this weekend I'll be back to get them both going. But, I want to take the best bits of each and stick it all on one of them, the new TQ2 is overall better, and also newer so it's going to be a case of taking the best bits from my old Hyper and sticking them on the TQ2. But because I have been out of it for so long I just need some advice and suggestions on a few of the parts I am considering... Exhaust Old Hyper: Used JP2 (see below) New Hyper: Standard TQ2 exhaust Now usually I would say JP2 all day, no brainer. But I'm just wondering if the exhaust looks in decent condition to you guys? As far as I know it works fine still, although it's been a while since used so couldn't say for sure. Air Filter Older Hyper: RB dual air filter (see below) New Hyper: TQ2 standard From what I can see that RB air filter is now discontinued, but I still have about 5-6 fresh sponges for it. Servos Old Hyper: Power HD 1501MG (just one as the other it seems has broken in storage) New Hyper: Savox SC-0254MG x2 What servo would you use for throttle and for steering? Bodyshell Old Hyper: Custom shell, see my album above New Hyper: Standard black/red shell I know my custom shell won't fit the new one as it stands, shocks being a different shape etc. But I would cut it to fit, would you suggest doing so or should I leave it on my old Hyper? Most of the orange bits on my old Hyper will be moving over anyway. Thanks for reading and thanks for the advice in advance! It's good to be back. Dave
