  1. Thanks for the welcome everyone Aberdeenish for a change is warm and sunny, usually Aberdeen summer is defined by the fact that the snow melts before it hits the ground 🤣
  2. Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm Tony from Aberdeen. Been away from here for 10 years 😮 Good to see Nick is still running the place Don't currently have any RC's, but I am very much looking into getting a TRX4 Landy Hi anyway 👋
  3. Back monster bashing :)

  4. Just wondering what engines I could install in my Tmaxx, just wanting something bigger than a .18 Can anyone tell me which engines will fit that are .21 and above, prices etc. Cheers, Tony
  5. Seeing as this thread will no doubt be locked now as the arguements are carrying on, I thought I would point something out. Not one bit of what you just posted states that stretched tyres are illegal, it does however say what the manufacturer should stick to. It also points out that your tyres should not come out further than the wheel arch, which agrees with one of the original posts about stretched tyres happening in Germany. Tyre manufacturers do not make laws, everything they say is a recommendation.
  6. Guys can we calm down please, I don't come on this forum very often because of things like this. This was supposed to be a post to put pictures of your cars, so can we plaese get back on topic. If there is to be an arguement about tyres please just start another thread and not spoil this one. Cheers, Tony
  7. Oh yeah there is no denying that there will be less grip, but even with 20 odd years of driving experience I have yet to find a tyre with less grip than I have talent. The only folk with the ability to be able to tell if there is less grip with tyres like that, would be the likes of the late great Colin Mcrae etc. If there is an accident with a stretched tyre you can almost guarantee it's is due to a lack of driver ability and not the tyre. And thanks
  8. She is a fantastic car, off the road for the winter though. Standard they are a 2.5litre V6 with about 150bhp But she is anything but standard..... They also have the gearbox mounted to the rear to give perfect 50/50 weight distribution.....until my fat ass gets in
  9. Stretched tyres like that are no more a danger than normal width tyres. They can be when taken to extremes, but they are not. Before anyone gets on their high horse and tries to argue, I have been trained by Michelin.....not just on how to fit tyres but in the construction, wear and damage, destruction courses. And I was a tyre bay manager for 2 years. My car
  10. Ari Vatanen is one of the greatest drivers ever. He became the World Rally Champion in `81 in a Mk2 Escort, amazing considering he was up against the Audi Quattro's. He was then almost killed in a crash in Argentina whilst rallying the 205T16. His seat snapped in 2 and his helmet came off as the car tumbled down a cliff, so you can imagine the list of injuries. They didn't think he would even walk again! One year later he came back to rallying, this was also the year he started doing the Paris-Dakar rally, which he won 1st time. So there is no adult nappy there......just pure and utter god like talent. T P.S. You wouldn't think I'm a huge fan of him would you????
  11. There is nothing to run, it never happened. Doesn't mean it wont. I think a new thread should be created for it tho
  12. I have the normal one and can sum it up in one word.......junk. I have had it since August last year, the speaker crackles continually, it has locked up a couple of times and the battery doesn't last. If you are getting it for a work phone and have to make quite a few calls a day, forget it. I have to charge mine every night. The 8Gb one might have sorted a few problems but I doubt the battery has improved. Just ask your work for an Iphone. T

    Skyline Stolen

Those things are as rare as rocking horse poo, you must have been gutted
  14. Right guys and gals, A Skyline from Aberdeen was stolen on Friday in Edinburgh. I'm pretty sure it is probably stripped by now but if any of you were to see it you know its stolen, could you please report it to the police. I do not know the owner but I know MSUK members are all over the UK so hopefully we can help find her. Here is a link http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/93567-g1...-edinburgh.html Cheers, T
