  1. I recently got two of these for my kids. The monster truck design (Quantum Flux MT) is better than the truggy design (Quantum Flux XT), particularly the setup and tyres...although in essence they are pretty much the same car. There is no problem running with 3s although it's pretty quick and is a handful to control...the transmitter/receiver has excellent range though. We're all pretty much novices and are learning when it comes to jumps and bashing etc, but both the Maverick's outlasted my brand new Arrma Big Rock last weekend (retired with broken rear suspension) even though the kids had subjected their Quantums to much more abuse. There is quite a few good reviews online and for the price I would definitely recommend them, the only thing from stock I'm going to change is the shock oil to something with less resistance. Hope that helps.
  2. Hi, I'm in Aberdeen...anyone else still around?
  3. Well done, there is nothing more satisfying than getting and old RC back up and running again 🙂 The Falcon was my first RC car many years ago but it's long gone now...just hoping for the re-release by Tamiya at the end of the year.
  4. Hi all, thought I'd introduce myself. I used to run Tamiya's back in the day for fun (Falcon, Monster Beetle), but after seeing a Traxxas XMAXX in action at a local park that was me back into the hobby! Bought one a few days later and have added quite a few more RC cars since then. Enjoy both bashing and crawling and have found the forums a good place to learn about the hobby.
