  1. You could try warming them up... a soldering iron held on the head for a minute or two usually loosens the most reluctant of screws.. when warm they should go with the hex driver...
  2. OK so +1 on the 1/10 scale.. Lrp twister maybe.. good price n parts not expensive from SMD n CML..
  3. methinks methinks is getting used too much... Take it back n b*llo*ck em, go in aggressive n make em have it.. lol.. failing that just explain n ask nicely..
  4. NO update has got to be a bad thing methinks..
  5. +1 on this... LiFe packs rock..!!
  6. A digital lo profile servo n a new glowstick..
  7. I dont want to seem like a damp squib on this one...but... you might be better spending your cash(i.e.cheaper..)on a motor/esc combo more suitable for the HSP, it seems obvious that what you have is w-a-a-y too much for the transmission to handle..Failing that, buy a more mainstream brand that can be upgraded easier if needed.. It may also help if you post what current motor/esc options you have...
  8. Ok so... M3 is 5.5mm AF(across flats..) and M4 is 7mm AF..
  9. Ah well... It depends on the manufacturer and production cost IME... M3 screw usually a 2mm Allen driver fits BUT sometimes it is 2.5mm... Some factories tool up differently for heads even tho the thread is always standard.. The link didn't work for me so where are you using the screws on the H7.. If I can ill check mine as it is factory fresh so should be standard..
  10. Not sure of specifics but give the OE damper a measure I.e. hole to hole centres... that'll give u an idea of what length you need for starters, then choose diameter if poss I guess...
  11. http://www.hobbyking.com/buddy.asp?code=18A41EF5-7526-4A8A-BDD2-929F7AAA4F81 If you order from HK add this buddy code and make some good savings.. Is this true..? First order from HKUK so we will see how it goes...fingers crossed cos the prices are quite good..!
  12. Ok just voted.. I began RC about 30(!)years ago.. Omg is it really that long ago..!! I had a Yamamoto trainer plane with a 2 stroke engine that I never actually flew!!!! I am an engineer so tinkering is what I like best and the use is somewhat secondary for me..having said that I got my first RC land vehicle when I was @30..it was a Kyosho Raider which I still have but it doesn't get a run anymore due to lack of spares and brittle plastic! The next vehicle was a Kyosho Advance with an Enya 0.9 rear mounted 2 stroke.. I still have that too n I start it up occasionally just for fun.. I've had lots of Tamiya stuff through the years along with Mardave, HPI, schumacher, associated and xray, I now have a Hobao H7 1/8 which runs great and a B4 with 9.5 ezrun brushless which are my current drives... I have planes n boats that I use in the summer and a conservatory for a workshop.. The wife loves that BTW..! Brushless and Lithium cells are the best thing to happen to RC ever..! Nitro is more reliable than it has ever been and manufacturers are producing more equipment for us to play with... LONG LIVE RC..!!!
  13. I have used opti for a while in aero engines and have been happy, no damage and many hours use, so I thought opti for the H7 would be fine and it has been..! Usually a good price from most stockists I find.. Yeh many people swear the fuel they use is the best but I say go with your own choice or experience(or budget..!).. As a 1/8 noob I went with what I knew but loads of folk said use..blah..blah...blah.. Hey, try what you want but I think opti is ok.. A bit smoky, but for me smoke=lube.. I used 20% for the break in and just stuck with it.. So, how is the new toy doing..have u broke anything yet,,?! lol.. Have fun burning the 10l but keep a bit of yer dough back cos u never know..!
  14. Retire it gracefully... Give it pride of place in the den and remember the good times... Then get summat newer n faster...!
  15. Nice... Two speed I take it..? Are you sure of the speeds, you couldn't catch the pick up..! Lol... Btw, are they fastest downhill or uphill..?! Go for it you guys.. 70mph? Easy..!
