  1. Quick question - Prob one thats been asked before......... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?Call...mp;ItemID=25032 Does this come with everthing i need to convert my Hyper 7 to rotostart or do i need to purchase any other parts? Is this a good rotostart or can anyone recommend another? Preferbly looking for one that has everthing i need to convert. Lastly... do i have to remove the engine to fit this? Cheesed off with all the blisters!!!!
  2. So really i am wasting my money, i am using 25% O'Donnells, but if it offers the same protection as the modelsport stuff, i am better off with that!!
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=022 Here is another dunno how acurate it would be
  4. Ok but where does it say anything about a Hyper??
  5. Mr T, Will this fit my Hyper 7 .21? Cheers
  6. 1. Are you letting it cool between tanks? 2. Is it flooded? Set the throttle trim higher to start then adjust back when running keep trying it will start!!
  7. 2 tanks is plenty, you need to get it on the ground now to start driving it, started driving at 1/4 throttle in figure of 8's this will start getting more heat to the engine and heat sealing it. TBH 4 tanks at idle is just a waste of your fuel!
  8. 2 tanks will be ok. As for the oil don't worry this is because of the rich settings. Remember to do this after each tank and allow the engine to cool between tanks. remembering to set the piston at BDC. T o do this i took the gloplug out and pulled the started till piston was at lowest point, then marked the fly wheel with a black marker pen, this way you know where BDC is each time without taking glo-plug out.
  9. As Indie said the wheels shouldn't spin. The optimum idle will be revving as high as you can without the wheels spinning when off the ground. I Idled my hyper for 2 tanks before putting it on the floor. Then do 3-4 tanks at 1/4-1/2 throttle doing figure of 8's hope this helps
  10. so what is the problem?? we can only offer help with a detailed note of the problem,,
  11. Sounds way too hot and lean to me but i am sure someone with more experience will be along to confirm in a minute
  12. If you are having trouble getting it started, pre-heat the engine with a hairdryer til it is hot to touch, then tighten the gloplug up and undo it 1/2 turn this will make it easier to start. Ensure you tighten the plug back up when you get it started
  13. Sorry i should have read the whole thread.... i stand corrected!!
  14. I have just run my Hyper in on O'Donnells 25% - seems ok
  15. If the hyper kit you bought was RTR then the shocks should have oil already in them
  16. Well managed to get out this morning, ran another 2 tanks, but halfway through 2nd tank the batteries went flat, managed to get a bit more response out of it today so far in total i have tuned the HSN about 3/4 turn. Still bogging though but hopefully will get a chance to fully tune it and finish off tomorrow
  17. Wish it would stop * kin raining!!!
  18. Good Choice!!! sounds like you had a result
  19. Did you not get a wrench with the car? if not then you need to buy one http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?Call...mp;ItemID=11847 This should fit
  20. Take the fuel tube of the exhaust pipe and blow down that, this will push fuel into the carb, try pre-heating the engine with a hairdryer and if it is pullstart try loosening the gloplug 1/2 turn, but as soon as it starts tighten back up again.
  21. Was going to folloew your advice today but was pi55ing down all day, so will do it tomorrow! Thank you for your help and i will let you know how i get on
  22. ok, sounds like i'm being too careful!! will do as advisedtomorrow tyvm
